pls help fitanons

i started off skinnyfat, 140lbs 5’8”
i’ve been working out for 3.5months- considerable strength gains but no aesthetic gains. i’m now 150lbs and might even look more out of shape than I did before.
in one month I have a beach vacation with an extended friend group coming up and a girl who could be my future wife will be there (girl ive only met twice but am quite interested in).

do I cut until the trip to try to harvest some of my gains? will this slow my progress overall? do I just frick it and keep bulking for now?

        You make sure your future kids get plenty to eat and exercise if you are worried about their height. There is more to height than just genes.

          My dad and I were both super active in our youth. He played tennis obsessively for hours after school every day. I also played tennis and did lots of cycling and outdoor sports / always playing outside. Still both ended up 5'8". Maybe I should have eaten more though. Was around 115lbs until college started.

            I have always been overweight as a teen, at least 20 lbs or so. Hit 6' by 14; dad was 5'9, mom is 5'1".

          Judging yourself against the best that's on display on Instagram. Or anywhere the top 1% constantly post their muscle-bound bodies.

          You should be taking a good look around you at the grocery store to get a better idea of what is average and judge yourself against that.

          You've got a bigger issue, my man. It has to do with the muscle you're obviously not working out very much that lies inside of your skull. Either that or you're genetically predisposed to always be weak in that area, in which case it was all over for you before it even began.

          Here's a hint: Just because the right side of the chart stops at some arbitrary point doesn't mean it doesn't "keep going" if anyone cared to print those extremes. Good luck figuring that one out.

      You look ok, but i imagine you want to look more defined, try doing more reps in your sets with less weights

      ok since nobody has called me fat as shit yet maybe I'm in the safe zone for not being too fat. I think my plan for the next month will be:
      - pause the bulk, stay at maintenance calories
      - change from strength training to hypertrophy training (increase reps, decrease weight)
      after the vacation I'll go back to strength training and keep bulking

      I don't know, I mainly compare to the gym around me. I know I have a long way to go. Thanks for the vote of confidence.
