Understandable. I'd add vitamin K2 to the mix though because Vitamin D increases calcium absorption and K2 causes the calcium to go to bones instead of gathering in soft tissue (veins and organs). K2 is very hard to get from food, only stuff like kimchi has it

I actually do eat fermented foods frequently. I ate natto a couple days ago and I have home-fermented plums and sauerkraut in the fridge right now. I also have kombu instead of iodized salt.

        >K2 is very hard to get from food

        >nutrient that's supposedly essential for a basic bodily function (proper use of calcium) is extremely rare in a normal diet
And you just blindly accept this rather than considering that maybe this nutrient isn't as essential as you think it is? We know from fossil evidence that prehistoric humans had significantly stronger and thicker bones than we do; were they hard at work fermenting kimchi?

Gut bacteria makes K2 from K1 in healthy people. No one even heard of K2 supplements 10yrs ago and humans have been living just fine.

Frick off with the ancestral tenants bullshit.
There's been countless nutritional and fitness advances since prehistoric times that are objectively better. Do you actually have an argument against supplementing K2 that isn't 'my caveman ancestors didn't do this so I won't'?

k2 mk4 is from animal meat and organs, eggs and dairy, so yeah. k2 mk7 is from fermented stuff.

K2 is produced by your gut microbiota, why do you think only fermented food seems to have it?

We live in a time where we have sweet, ripe fruit available year-round, more than a king from centuries past could have wished for, and you sit there and eat grains like a fricking peasant. What a waste.
