Lmao how will powershitters ever recover? Muh show muscles, muh real strenght, muh functionality.
Can we finally admit that it's just a cope for being fat?
Forgot the link
who gives a frick lets just lift weights whatever way we want to
This is a fitness board. You can't be fit and fat.
Yes NFL player's aren't fit
Correct
>fitness board
lets be honest this is a lifting board
Doesn't this prove the "strength" guys right? That lifting heavy is the best for aesthetics?
No because otherwise they would be aesthetic, this proves that training to be aesthetic will build still build strength
So how strong is this guy? Did he just accidentally into a 500 deadlift? Pretty sure he wouldn't be 'aesthetic' if he weren't strong.
Those who train for strength aren't necessarily aesthetic as you can gain strength without size, but you will gain strength as a result of gaining size for aesthetics.
This is such absolute idiocy. Everyone who looks aesthetic got that way because they lifted really heavy.
not even remotely true
mechanical tension grows your muscles, not squatting x amount of weight for 3 reps
How's that working out for you?
no? If anything it just means you can do curls and lateral raises on the side while still focusing on powerlifting
you're confused and have probably spent less than 6 months in the gym
I have a bunch of "1st place" medals from small weightlifting meets where I was the only person of my weight class & age group. Niche sports are all like this. It doesn't mean anything especially if he is only pulling 175kg lol not like he won nationals
Only person in the thread so far who actually lifts or knows anything about powerlifting
https://www.openpowerlifting.org/m/usapl/VA-2023-06
he got a 400+ dots score in his first meet. he is very strong for small local meets, and an absolute nobody at the national level
you'd have to be some kind of insecure moron to see this and not be stoked for a guy that doesn't focus on strength performance deciding to dive in, and having a good showing. he's strong and i hope he competes again in the future
>guy who lifts weights for a living is strong
Good for him.
>Join a powermeet
No way dude he joined A powermeet? A single competition of no significance in a random weight class?? He's a fricking monster dude no fricking way.
>first
He is ranked 5771 in the 90kg class
>all the fat deadlifters compensating for their shit bench
lmao
>fat
>90kg sumo
those are all the dyels you see on tiktok pulling 7+
>implying local meets matter
lmao
Based moron reading comprehension
You're dressing up for competition to deadlift 400lbs what is this?
>muh functionality
Turns out every muscle is functional. Whenever you see a powerfat with a torn rotor cuff or bicep, its because they refused to train it and worked only on maxing DL.
He didn't win anything. OP is just trying to get his channel for views.
>lifts heavy for years and years straight
>WOAH DUDE THIS IS LIKE MY FIRST COMPETITION LOL I DIDN'T EVEN PREPARE FOR IT BRO
ok
The point is he lifted for hypertrophy, which powershitters say is useless for strength.
I don't think anyone says that
Someone post the picture of him sucking the dick of his own vitaminx
>Bro enters first powerlifting meet
>2 PRs
>1300lb+ total
>Friendly with the other lifters
>Zero negativity
>Makes video showing powerlifting to be a fun sport
For the lurkers: I have never met a single actual powerlifter who would talk shit about this guy. 100% the response would be "good job, bro." Posters in this thread talking shit are more than likely posers and they should return to Reddit ASAP.
>dude who's life revolves around lifting can also lift heavy weights
whoah
