      I've dislocated mine 6 times. I've even dislocated it just from rolling over in my sleep. btn press and lots of upper back work are what fixed my shoulder. i started with btn push press first for a while before i tried strict btn press though.

    I get a way better deltoids and upper traps pump just doing overhead presses the normal way, so I stopped doing behind the neck pressing

    Just not point doing BTN when the effect is no different, but instead youre just making it harder by having it pressed from a less stronger position

    Also I did notice some elbow pain with the BTN version compared to standard. Overall just doesn't seem worth it.

      less chest I guess, but the risk reward ratio is shit. If you tweak your shoulder you'll be losing months or years worth of gains.

        I dont understand your question. Thats like asking whats the benefit of squats instead of regular OHP? Its not the same exercise? OHP is all front delts, even chest and tons of core, legs etc.

        Maybe im assuming a bit here but BTN is usually done seated and on smith machine. It isolates your shoulders entirely and it hits all sides, rear, side and front with very little bias towards any. Its entirely different from OHP. I mean maybe better comparison would be why do squats when you can do leg extension. Straight up just not the same movement.

        i wanted to know the difference between OHP and BTN but you answered my question, i do BTN standing by the way, i do a sort of clean & jerk to get into position then just start repping them out with an EZ bar, i will try seated next time

    I did these, seated on the Smith machine. They feel nice but you need to have flexible shoulders and joints otherwise you´ll probably snap your shit up. I want to do it more but usually gymthots use the Smith machine for hip thrusts and other glute exercises
