Project Gronk 2

2 weeks ago I made my first Project Gronk thread but in reality I started around the middle of December. The transition from rowing to lifting has been a lot easier than I expected. My squat is up from 280 to 315, bench is up from 180 to 205, but my 40 yard has decreased from 4.65s to 4.8s (my weight has gone up from 215 in mid december to now 230). I've been doing the westside barbell strength program that the Rugby anon recommended and I made friends with a 4th string DB on the team who is helping me with footwork and running routes under coverage. My goals before tryouts in August are at least a 400 squat, 250 bench, and 4.7s 40 yard. If I make the team I'll find a way to shoutout IST since sifting through the autism here has helped me a lot. I may or may not juice, depends on how hard the plateau hits.

        Oh good luck anon. Being on any college team is difficult so I hope your training pays off.
        Also don't frick up college. Don't be like one of the losers who claim college doesn't help you get a career and end up with a useless degree

            Yea thats a good degree to use in any med field. Im just saying to use all the tools your uni offers, especially career fairs. I was able to get 3 different offers before my graduation date because of the career fair.
            I still see plenty of my peers that are working retail jobs or starting up their own business(basically a bunch of nothing burgers) because all they did was party or play games

      A quick summary of the last thread is I played tight end growing up, went to a school with no team and I rowed at the collegiate level. I transfered to an SEC school to finish my degree and go to grad school and I want to tryout for the team here.

        Ah I see. I don't think you will have much trouble then seeing as how you already have the discipline for it and am getting advice from someone who is on the team. Possibly even a little bit of nepotism sprinkled in there and I think your outlook is great

    That's funny I'm a similar size increase and started with similar strength numbers. But I recently did 335 squat and 230 bench. My routine was starting strength which is what you probably should have been doing since it progresses faster. I hope you're deadlifting too, a lot of football players don't and it would give you an advantage.

      I'm 6'5 with a 6'7 wingspan so I expect bench to be my hardest lift. I've also been doing RDL and cleans.

    I’m being 100% serious when I ask are you in the juice? If so have you thought about beating the test. You’ll have to talk with the rest of your teammates and see how thorough they are. I know some people have claimed that’s it as rigorous as usada and they look at your penis when you test, (which is super gay wtf) but if they do you CAN buy hollowed out dildos with a pee bag in them.

      I'm not on any juice but I'm considering a cycle in the spring. The school I went to before this one was a military school so I've had grown men stare at my penis while pissing before.

      You will be in a locker room with absolute freaks squatting 6 plates, deadlifting 7, and playing sports since age 3. You could probably walk on at a smaller school but not D1

    Belichick ran the patriots like the navy but apparently gronk would dominate in practice and talk shit like crazy. He pulled out a staples easy button and mashed it while dominating Manlet cornerbacks. He would stay out all night drinking and show up in the morning at the stadium and get hooked to an iv.
