Project Gronk

I want to try out for my College's football team in the fall as a tight end. I'm 21 now but i played for a decade from elementary school through high school.

I took some measurements, I stand at 6'5" 225 lbs. and I recently timed my 40 yard dash at 4.65 seconds.

Tryouts are in July, how can I bulk up as much as possibe while staying fast? I'll be pinning L-carnitine too.

Honestly that's a damn good question.

          Because most people are heterosexual.

That doesn't answer my question, and frankly homosexuals, especially male homosexuals, fit the bill far more than heterosexuals.

              Anonymous

Slaying 1000s isn't a flex for homos because getting sex as a homosexual is easy. For a heterosexual, it's hard, so having lots of partners is an uncommon achievement, hence a flex.

How hard could it really be to lay a thousand insecure women who aren't too attractive conventionally?
Anyways it was a rhetorical question I just wanted to say it for the sake of it.

Pretty hard, otherwise incels wouldn't exist.

Idk I’ve only slept with a couple questionable broads. Only two fatties, one of which wasn’t my fault because last I’d seen her was like a year before she came over and she was hot.

She was a real piece of shit lol. We got hammered and made Mac and cheese that she threw a bunch of Kraft singles into, then we fricked and she proceeded to bleed all over my white T-shirt and genitals.

I just transferred to this school to finish my degree and go to grad school. I rowed at my previous school but there's no rowing team here. A friend gave me the idea. We were watching a game together and he said "you could totally do that."

Is Baby Gronk the new Drip King, or is he just getting rizzed up by Livvy?
Livvy just convinced Baby Gronk to commit to LSU. Baby Gronk is the #1 college football prospect in the country. He averages 300 yards and 5 touchdowns a game. On his visit to LSU, Livvy rizzed him up. Livvy even hugged Baby Gronk. He might be the new rizz king. Do you think Baby Gronk will lead LSU to a national championship?

How do white football players deal with black teammates? Wont they get teased for being white?

Gronk was like 6'6 and 270lb so any Black person teasing him would probably get folded like an omelette

        skill position players are women
tight ends are gender non binary
        lineman are men

a good tackle would eat his lunch

Get a 500 squat, a 400 bench and a 300 clean. Find one of the freshman redshirted quarterbacks and tell him you want to run routes. Do 110yard sprints in 16 seconds or less with 40 seconds rest before running the next one. Start with 2 and build until you can do 12.

I just joined a flag football team so I can practice routes under coverage.

    >how can I bulk up as much as possibe while staying fast?
Speed is from force in relation to mass so you have to retain your strength to weight ratio as you bulk. Very hard to also retain your cardio if you're not built that size naturally.
Gronk was around the same height as you (a little taller) and a whopping 40lbs heavier. With abs. Not only that, Gronk could block as well as he could catch as well as route run as well as pick up yards after the catch. Assuming you are already very low body fat, training your ass off and eating the house down, there is only one way to put on that much lean muscle - PEDs. All that said, I'm assuming you aren't reaching for the literal heights of a future first ballot hall of famer with 4 rings. First thing I'd say is assess your strengths and figure out if tight end really is the best position for you. If you have great hands and route running consider receiver. That way you don't have to put on any more size. If you are actually a really good blocker and have good proportions for it then you'll be ok if you lose a little speed bulking up and sticking at tight end. You have no real choice than to pin test. Training wise, westside barbell will be the go here. Westside barbell example training for squats would be:
    Strength day: 8 - 12 sets of 1 - 3 reps @ 80-90% max
Dynamic day: 8 - 12 sets of 2 - 3 reps @ 50-60% of your max using chains or bands and exploding as fast as possible through your reps
    Repetition day: 8 - 12 sets of 8 - 12 reps @ 70-80% of your max
Obviously this kind of training is built around PEDS. If you put yourself on IFBB pro levels of gear, put the work in and EAT you'll get the results. Apart from that you will need a technique coach to train with pretty much daily. good luck bossy, don't forget about us if you make it.

I knew I would have to get on PED's. Tryouts aren't until July so I figured I'd have time to run a cycle annd get clean before they test me. I was hoping to hit at least 235 lean by the time I made it to tryouts. I won't forget IST, i'll drop subtle hints for you guys.

        Anonymous

You absolutely have the time, 235 is a very achievable goal. Not sure the standard of where you're playing but technique and ability will be as critical as your strength and speed. If shit is really elite you'll need to find someone like the footwork king (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4l4kSdb_dY&ab_channel=PlayFootball). If that's not an option form a clique with the other walk ons so you can train together. If you're at a small college and this is just for fun ignore me. If it's a big college and you're really serious keep in mind that if you didn't already get offers coming out of high school then this is going to require all consuming devotion. All in on weights, cardio and technique. That's just how it is. But the rewards are immeasurable.

          Anonymous

As soon as I made up my mind that I was going to try walking on, I started doing footwork drills and fast hands drills. I'm at an SEC school, but not one of the good SEC schools. If I were trying for Georgia or Alabama I definitely wouldn't make it. I did have a few D2 offers, but frankly I was a late bloomer so I really didn't start to grow until I got to college.

Fantastic brother, I'm very excited for you. Unfortunately professional sports is rigged against the late bloomer. But if you developed a good technique base and your body is now catching up you're in good stead. Really hope you make it.

to be fair, NFL players weights are often inflated, or rather outdated measurements from a combine where they stand at peak bulk levels of bodyfat. He's probably in 240s range in that pic you posted

Beyond physicality you need smarts. Gronk was definitely a loveable but dumb frat bro when he got into the league, but he was still incredibly smart on the field. Tight Ends need to be able to do *everything*. Block, catch, routes, you need to be able to do it all. You're a amalgamation of a Linemen and a receiver, and you need to be able to do both roles effectively. Sure there's plenty of Tight Ends who weren't super physical. Jimmy Graham before the injuries, Tony Gonzalez to an extent, Kelce, and so on. But Gronk and the best of the best separated themselves by being physical. He could outrun a DB (before the injuries) and on the next play block a star DE with no help.

You're going to need to be able to understand a entire offensive playbook and have the smarts/physical ability to effectively play different positions on any given play.
