I got into fitness because I was going to kill myself, 2 years ago I was 100 pounds heavier than I am today, now I have friends I met at the gym and I’m starting nursing school next month.

I lift to avoid pain. My lower back pain, occasionally nighttime leg cramps, and any soreness I might have had from lifting things at work have completely disappeared.
which lifts were most therapeutic for this? i also lift to avoid pain, it's pretty much constant but if i don't lift it's so much worse

I got into fitness because I got diabetes young after being fat all my life. I'm now lifting and dieting so that I don't have my life shortened by 20 years and made shitty for 20 before that.
Once I squatted to take something on the floor and I almost couldn't get up. That was the reason I started lifting.

I needed it to reverse PCOS and eventual diabetes. Turns out I'm a god and am better than everyone else. Who knew?
