Would help with lockout maybe because you can easily push press your max strict press
Push press is mostly good for improving leg to arm power transfer without having to learn the jerk
It will make you more comfortable holding big weights overhead but not really

push press is a useless exercise outside of practicing for strongman events.
Kek didn't even see that
Wowwww
And people give me shit for always referring to SS for technique. You can't trust any of these form teaching YouTubes or sources, everyone is a little off
IMO push press is useless for improving OHP because it doesn’t help with the most difficult part of the lift. That is getting the weight off of your clavicles and up to forehead level
>turns shoulder movement into a leg movement >one wrong movement sends you straight to snap city >literally an ego lift >impossible to control descent at big weights
sounds only useful for strongmen and oly lifters ngl
Will push pressing help you progress on strict pressing?

is having fun useless?
nah that's unironically a perfect reason to do them. I just mean it's not a good strength exercise.
It's a great exercise for getting your legs and arms coordenated and explosive
>Push press is a useless exercise besides being totally functional
I hate zoomers. Start hitting the gym.
Strict pressing? Do you mean The Press™?
Potentially yes if you control the eccentric, it becomes an overloaded strict press
>teaching the push press
>your wrists that fricking backwards

A lot of shit happened that tptb would tell me didn't
You’re the moron who thinks wrists should be angled so forward its being held by thumb rather than in your palm; log off YouTube bud
Draw a green line homosexual
Logic
writs wienered back like that is horrible for your elbow. if you kept that same form and actually got strong, you'd eventually dislocate your elbow.
I love doing these my homies.

no one care about ur gayas clavicle
aka the "I can't OHP 1pl8 so I use a cheat movement instead"
All you need is the push press and a back squat. Every other exercise is simply an accessory to gaining strength.
