    Thus, they need simple, simple rules for their diet, otherwise they get sucked into buying and eating that which they see and are marketed. That is, no one is immune to propaganda and people hate to feel like they're being manipulated.

    Adding the near religious fervour for whatever thing they're doing helps them to feel assured that they're doing the right thing and have stumbled across some esoteric secret. It gives them a sense of superiority and makes them feel they understand the complex world around them. They feel to have agency, that they're taking control of their existence and decisions.

    I was vegan for years, then transitioned to a carnivore-ish diet (lots of beef and organ meat, with veggies, fruit, honey, and raw dairy). I went from being emaciated and mentally ill, to gaining 20 lbs of muscle and feeling the best I've felt in my adult life. Goyslop was never involved.
    I found that cutting out vegetables helped my digestion and didn't affect my health negatively in any way. Same pattern with fruit. My brother also eats carnivore amd he's in great shape and feeling amazing. It turns out that many people - myself included - actually do experience the benefits of carnivore, and you're just a dismissive homosexual. Humans, like all animals, have a species-appropriate diet. And I believe it's a carnivore diet.

        OP is right, the world is full of morons. I am a pescatarian now, but only for moral reasons. Both meat and vegetables are absolutely fine, as long as you know what you're doing.
        Not eating any veg is the most stupid things that anyone ever came up with. I guess there are situations where it works, but it's not for everyday people.

        What does that even mean? Do you have brain damage? I don't "try" to eat. I successfully eat 2 lbs of beef a day + organs and raw milk and I feel fantastic. Veggies make me bloated and I can't eat enough meat, so I lose weight and feel like shit. They also give me loose stool. There are countless similar stories out there if you care to open your mind.

        personally yeah, 6 days made a difference
        I petted my cats and my dog for the first time in months because I stopped thinking they were repulsive and my mind which was riddled with horrible thoughts towards myself and my family suddenly stopped, I myself am surprised how fast my mood changed like that so I'm still dazzled by it, it's also cool how much more clear my mind feels and how it feels like I have an endless steady stream of energy
        bad sides might come up later but the more the trend keeps up the more I'm converted into a carnivore schizo
        plus I slimmed down

    God is dead and we're kicking through the ashes for something else to worship. Good stories need conflict and stakes, which is also what a good life needs.

    Being a diet zealot gives you both these things: conflict with different diet zealots and your health at stake. There's a little community in there too.

    I keep a weird diet in part because I feel different from the people around me and the diet expresses this feeling. I also think its healthy, which makes me better than the people who don't eat food I think is healthy.
