Raw eggs. Meme or better nutrition?

People always shill raw eggs shlonking. But is it really that much better than eating them cooked. Does heat really destroy nutrition ?

        Yeah, if I make a dozen soft boiled eggs they’ll be gone the same day. I don’t do it every day though; I’m on a cut.
        I get my eggs and milk from an Amish farm close to my house.
        I really think that I could live on kefir and eggs.
        Are you getting your daily dozen ?

    Raw eggs have a compound in it that binds with biotin. over time makes you biotin deficient and your hair will fall out

      Eggs have B7 (Biotin) at 33% of the DRV. Avidin is not a problem if you cook the eggs. Also Avidin is found in the egg whites not the yolk. So if you want to have the eggs, the only part you need to cook to avoid Avidin is the whites. The yolk can be as runny or raw.

    Being able to consume them in a pleasurable manner vs. as quick as possible. That's the only difference. I'm gonna keep cooking my eggs. It's cool for a scene in Rocky, but IRL it's moronic and pointless.

      Eat them with some juice or fruit. I've read that eating some sugar can manage the gaseous putrefaction of proteins throughout their digestion. Hard to tell for sure, but i rarely have gas issues despite eating 10+ soft boiled eggs a day and i suppose it really could have something to do with all the fruit i eat.

    Raw yolk, cooked white. Otherwise you're ingesting avidin, which blocks biotin absorption.

    Google “egg white bioavailability”, cooked eggs are significantly more usable by the body because cooking eggs denatures the proteins, making it easier for your body to use them
