Red meat associated with diabetes

But you gotta eat that protein-rich meat for maximum gains, huh? Too bad there won't be a nice calf to look at when it gets amputated.

            Meanwhile, in the earlier section

            https://open.lib.umn.edu/evolutionbiology/chapter/7-3-what-distinguishes-the-sexes-2/
            >You may have thought to look for chromosomes (long stretches of DNA) that can distinguish male from female. In a species in which male and female look similar, and in which males lack a penis, chromosomes may be helpful. However, not all organisms have sex determined entirely by genes on specific chromosomes. In the previous examples, the birds, butterflies, and snakes have chromosomes that can indicate sex, but the chameleons do not!
This does not discount the fact that even without distinct sexual chromosomes for a species, that sex is not genetic. Humans are an example of a species where there are chromosomal markers for sex. XX = female, XY = male. Any combination XXY, XYY, etc. are just genetic disorders (extremely rare disorders) like down syndrome (extra chromosome add to the 21st chromosome pair).

Strange how most all of our species ate red meat all through history and prehistory with fat and marrow and organs, even drinking and eating stuff made from the bones left over. The beetus basically absent for all of that time, tens of thousands of years on all different continents. Then in the late 20th and early 21st century, only in North America and Europe, red meat became associated with every possible condition of poor health. Especially stuff that almost never happened before that time in those places.

    Really makes you think.

wild game that human ancestors ate has much lower fat content than the factory farmed meat you eat every day. Also human ancestors did not eat meat every day. Also they often died before time to develop diabetes.

That would be a valid argument if we didn't come to various periods especially after the industrial revolution where the average lifespan reached nearly 70 and meat consumption only slightly increased through the 20th century.

One could say that normgroids eat too much meat and that the meat is of bad quality, which is true. But it is absurd in that to blame the consumption of red meat rather the the agricultural factors that created the inferior ZOGmeat, or the lack of impulse control among the fats. These are the things giving them chronic diseases, a product of their civilization and culture rather than the rating of red meat.

Funny how the populations of the world that eat the most beef also live the longest. It's almost as if beef is taking the collective responsibility of the rest of the fast food industry and sugars.

There is no way you're getting diabetes from just red meat. These studies are always useless because the people in it are lying about their diets. Every vegan cheats on their diet and binges on processed junk food and every mentally ill carnivore and ketolard is binging on beer and junk food constantly throughout the week. Those fad diets are not sustainable and they always lead to the people crashing and binging. It's so common that everyone has an anecdotal example of it happening with someone they know.

yeah the study sucks. they just asked a bunch of women how frequently they eat red meat and correlated it to diabetes.

but the thing is who are the people living in the land of cheeseburgers that are actively avoiding/restricting red meat? well a lot of them are probably people following a diet of some kind that’s also gonna restrict the things that turn you into a fat frick that gets diabetes.

In the case of carnivores amino acids are used to form either glucose or fats which mean consuming too much meat results in high blood sugar, people with diebetus have always been told to noteat too much meat because it spikes insulin

I don't hate correlational studies as much as you do, but it's a problem that we can't read the full article to see how they get their numbers.
Also, we already have review studies of red meat that show either a small or no increase of diabetes risk.

Fair point, but my gut evolved to be an omnivore, and cows turn plant potien into MANY much more SUPERIOR forms of protein for me to use. So why should I care if someone settles for the worst source of protein you can find?

So what though when NDEs are actually solid proof of life after death, because anyone can have them if they come close to and survive death. And they are so extremely real to those who have them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U00ibBGZp7o

As this NDEr described their NDE:

    >"Now, what heaven looks like? 'OMG' doesn't even describe how beautiful this place is. Heaven is, there are no words. I mean, I could sit here and just not say anything and just cry, and that would be what heaven looks like. There are mountains of beauty, there are things in this realm, you can't even describe how beautiful this place is. There are colors you can't even imagine, there are sounds you can't even create. There are beauties upon this world that you think are beautiful here. Amplify it over there times a billion. There are, it's incredibly beautiful, there's no words to describe how beautiful this place is, it's incredibly gorgeous."

And importantly, even dogmatic skeptics have this reaction, because the NDE convinces everyone:
    https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/mysteries-consciousness/202204/does-afterlife-obviously-exist

So anyone would be convinced if they had an NDE, we already know this, no one's skepticism is unique.

    >muh brain chemistry

Neuroscientists are convinced by NDEs too. What do skeptics think they understand that neuroscientists do not?

    >muh DMT causes it

Scientifically refuted already, and NDErs who have done DMT too say that the DMT experience, while alien and really cool and fun, was still underwhelming to the point of being a joke when compared to the NDE.

You get diabetes by being a fat frick and eating until your body no longer has an efficient way to use the calories. It has nothing to do with the food you eat.

      Anonymous

      >It has nothing to do with the food you eat.
Eating a high fat diet, especially one high in vegetable fats, is far more likely to give you diabetes than a diet with the same caloric intake but different macros. This is why you can induce diabetes with a keto diet and reverse it with a high carb, low fat diet.

    So is sugar.
Yet I eat at least half a lb of red meat a day and about 80-120g of sugar a day.
