It took me years to understand how important cardio is
You can do cardio without affecting gains whatsoever, and even more than that, you SHOULD do cardio
But "cardio" means regular time-limited non-extremely-strenuous activity
Don't be like this idiot
>be me >also rooning 2 hours a day, couple times a week >lifting about 2 or 3 times a week >scared of having any stomach fat >bite the bullet and decide to bulk and not be a b***h about it >only run once a week now >lift 4 times a week >upped my calorie intake by about 1k calories >gain 10 lbs this summer >still have visible abs
I love running but it's the gains goblins
that either runs 2 hours a day or none at all
Try 30 - 45 mins of running / swimming / cycling or whatever every day
Girl on the right looks like this one b***h that wants my dick bad, but I'm autistic as frick and as soon as I open my mouth, any attraction any girl had for me is gone. How do I not frick this up bros?
Depends on what percentage of your max heart rate you are doing that cardio at. Keep it at around 45% and you are burning like 90% fat calories. Do more than that for conditioning purposes only. But if you are wondering if it keeps muscle off, you be the judge >be me >run and cycle for like 5-6 years, get pretty good >7 min mile pace on marathon >170 lbs, prob like 8% bf >meh this is boring/have other priorities than running 2 hours everyday >stop >still eating good >effortlessly grow, DEL >get to 250 lbs, 20% after a few years >still fat but gained lots of muscle with no effort expended >feels good man
Height 6'4" btw. At one point I was severely overtraining with the running and got to 160, but recognized it and took a two week break. Is it typical to just grow effortlessly like that after years of extreme endurance training?
in4 >you're fatter than you think
no, did the hydrostatic test >still weak >no I can do 1/2/3/4, don't even weight train
So you tell me if extreme cardio supresses your muscular development. In my case it supressed it for years to the point my body severely overcompensated when I stopped.
>be me >also rooning 2 hours a day, couple times a week >lifting about 2 or 3 times a week >scared of having any stomach fat >bite the bullet and decide to bulk and not be a b***h about it >only run once a week now >lift 4 times a week >upped my calorie intake by about 1k calories >gain 10 lbs this summer >still have visible abs
Dude that much cardio would burn a shitload of calories. You probably weren’t eating at a caloric surplus. Guy I know is shredded and loves to run marathons. He says he can burn like 1500 calories just from training. It’s recommended to get like 30 min of cardio a day. I have no problem making gains running like 2-3 miles for warmups.
I also read a study a while back that cardio improves loss of visceral fat even when you’re not eating at a deficit. Probably encourages proper metabolic and hormonal function. Makes sense considering our bodies are designed for cardio and extended periods of activity. A moderate amount of cardio is well worth the health gains.
Only if you do it to an extreme like hours a day. Otherwise cardio is amazing for you since it helps the heart and is better than really anything not gear or dieting to lose weight
Lmao but they didn't measure all sorts of other metrics.
If you want to min/max for size + strength, don't do cardio.
If you want faster recovery time between sets AND between workouts, longer endurance and stronger, longer lasting erections, then do your cardio.
>stronger, longer lasting erections, then do your cardio.
this. the shitty thing is that it doesn't last long, if you take a week off you will notice a big difference.
on the other hand if you're an incel like me there's really no point.
>A significant group × time interaction was observed for body fat percentage (F(6, 52) = 4.616, p = 0.001). After the 6-week training intervention, CT1 resulted in 2.65 ± 0.04% greater decreases in body fat percentage than CON (p < 0.001) at the postintervention time point. No other significant effects of time or group were observed for changes in body fat percentage.
But this study found no difference in lean mass between the different groups, and the cardio groups lost the most body fat.
So cardio group kept the same muscle mass as the strength training group but lost fat.
Sounds like a win for cardio to me.

>running cope marathons ITT
at least cardiolets are consistent
Bad for your heart if you over do it & gives you shitty slow-twitch fibers.
You want to do """cardio""" then do any exercise at high intensity because newsflash: all exercise raises your heart rate.
Doing steady state exercise at medium intensity is fricking stupid. Do HIIT and lift no less than 8RM. If you can do more than 3x8 reps then increase the weight.
Can someone honestly tell me how can I meet girls like this if I already graduated? Covid thankfully made all my classes remote for the half of my educational career but this also resulted in me not meeting any young women my age.
I don't know how it works in your c**t tree. Grad school involves working time here and getting paid for it. I guess i meant TAs, we call them tutors here.
>Can someone honestly tell me how can I meet girls like this if I already graduated? Covid thankfully made all my classes remote for the half of my educational career but this also resulted in me not meeting any young women my age.
Anyone else?
These threads are made by bots. You see this shit across all the boards, generic timewasting thread based on specific board. Rinse and repeat every day for years now.
It wasn't always like this, at least not this blatant.
>On April 27, 1956, world heavyweight champ Rocky Marciano retires from boxing at age 31, saying he wants to spend more time with his family.
Guy had been running 5 miles every day for at least 10 years. I think it's indeed because of the knees.
Do it moderately. That way you got healthier with more stamina, perhaps lose abit of weight but it won't destroy your gains. What I mean by this is that you shouldn't do cardio daily but like in every 3rd day or so depends on whats is your ideal physique.
Gives you the only gains you need actually
Cardio lets you actually SEE gains.
Dyel cope
good for endurance and heart strength. do cardio regularly
As the other two said, cardio is the basis upon which all else is built.
If you only have time for weights or cardio, your priority should be cardio.

You can't get huge without cardio
Guys that swear by high rep programs only saw improvement due to increased cardio
High intensity (heavy), moderate volume, high frequency bodybuilding programs are ideal for natties when they do ample LISS everyday
Girl on the right looks like this one b***h that wants my dick bad, but I'm autistic as frick and as soon as I open my mouth, any attraction any girl had for me is gone. How do I not frick this up bros?
Brush your teeth
say few words but choose them wisely
they ride HWDs for cardio

I would not combine powerlifting with cardio but you should do cardio instead. You can gain muscle just fine.
Cardio is good for your health. It will not make your muscles bigger.
God I wish I had good fricking teeth like this.
This is why I never smile
Why are women?
whyn't?
Only if you do it to an extreme like hours a day. Otherwise cardio is amazing for you since it helps the heart and is better than really anything not gear or dieting to lose weight
How do I get a gf like the one on the right?
Just smile more, anon
The only thing cardio kills is powersharters.
1 cardio = 1 gain lost
is it a study or did they just make this shit up?

30 mins of walking on incline treadmill after 1.5h training session. feels good

Runners are like academics. They believe that the only people who deserve anything in life are the people who are like them. Ignore them.

go to grad school
tutor undergrad

I don’t want to go broke

No one goes to tutors anymore

why are these women in swimming gear outside of a swimming pool?
you're dreaming anon, do the needful with them before you wake up
imagine the lesbian sex

It's all so tiresome. Why do we come here still? Just to suffer?
Right is for a nasty frick session, left is for marrying.
tl;dr, people who are trying to bulk and do lots of cardio need to check they're eating enough to actually bulk
The real Rocky ran 5 miles a day. What was his diet?
>real rocky needs to retire cause of running
>On April 27, 1956, world heavyweight champ Rocky Marciano retires from boxing at age 31, saying he wants to spend more time with his family.

Are people here this moronic? This board have the most stupidest people ive ever encountered
Do it, feels great.
