I personally find it disgusting
Greek yogurt or skyr should have roughly the same macros and they're usually a bit cheaper, not to mention actually edible

I live in michigan and greek is about 5-6 where cottage cheese is about 2.99. both are the bigger containers, obvi.
I live in yurop, not in America, so I don't really know how much things cost on your side of the pond. In my local Lidl, greek yogurt costs about 2/3 of cottage cheese in a similarly sized or maybe only slightly larger container
Before you go to bed mix in some raw and unfiltered honey and have youself a decent snack that will hold you over until the morning if you're a night snacker like me. I used to hate the texture of Cottage Cheese but eventually started loving it.
I can't stand the texture plain. If I add something with a bite to it it's a lot better. I really like diced apples and cottage cheese. Any fruit works though. Do any anons have suggestions for me on non fruit mix ins?
I never eat cottage cheese with fruit. Its always a savory flavor to me. Ill sprinkle some Lawrys on it usually. Salt and crushed black pepper is good too. Ever throw a few dashes of green Tobasco on a bowl? Get a handful of bagel chips on the side and dip in? Go throw a cup of cottage cheese in a bowl and throw a dozen drops of onions sauce on there. Very versatile stuff. Works kinda in scrambled eggs too.
alright homies I bought a tub of 4% cottage cheese tonight
post some simple recipes -- what is something with few ingredients that you can make on the fly? I'd prefer savory, as I already eat a lot of greek yogurt with fruit and shit mixed in
if you're adding cottage cheese to your scrambled eggs, when do you put it in? do you mix it in with the eggs before you add it to the pan, or do you add it after the eggs have cooked a bit?
Put some black pepper on it, one of my favorite foods and the macros are a good mix of fat/protein, one of the most satiating foods imo. It's definitely a food that varies a lot in taste and texture depending on what brand you get and people have different preferences. The best brand by far in my opinion is Daisy. Make sure to get whole fat though. Cals are basically negligible and the lowfat/2% stuff is like eating paste.
I mix two tins of tuna (if you're in Aus Woolies does a bunch of different flavours cheap) with 100g of cottage cheese then spoon that into corn thins. Solid protein feed if you're low on macros. Half the serving if you don't have the calories left.
Imagine how much better this board would be if these pigshit jannies actually started banning people for "redpill me on this everyday grocery item" threads.
How stupid must a be person be to come on the internet and ask about cottage cheese like its some mysterious substance.
Fricking morons
For a bunch of dyels whose biggest fear in life (apart from making eye contact with a woman) is touching a piece of plastic, you're sure ok with eating cottage cheese from plastic.

Really? Cottage cheese is way cheaper than yogurt in my state

Same here in South Carolina. You can get cheaper greek yogurt buying store brands, etc. instead of gaye but the macros on those tend to be shittier
substitute for mayo or sour cream, makes stuff creamier eggs, potatoes, oatmeal etc
It's good for you.

no. Do your own reading you fricking lazy moron
how about you redpill yourself on spending 5 minutes googling information rather than making real humans spoonfeed you like a child

Mix ins no but if you just want texture try it on top celery or carrots/cucumbers quartered lengthwise. Good plain like that or with salsa on top too
I just use pepper and it tastes great.
Interesting. Will try pepper. I usually just salt it heavily and eat it with a spoon.
Why? Cottage cheese already has a decent amount of salt in it.

I like to mix it with rice at a 1:1 ratio
It absorbs plastics from the plastic container.
i make pancakes with it
helps to have an immersion blender to get the batter nice and smooth

That's all you need, hope you enjoy, anon.
Onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, oregano = better than Ranch dressing dip.

I bought fat free cottage cheese which was 17 grams of protein per 100g but it tastes like dogshit
