I noticed that for instance, when I use the sauna regularly, they seem to go away almost entirely. Visual snow as well, and improved posture helped before that with visual snow. It has to have something to do with the immune system imo, like a mostly topical autoimmune disorder similar to eczema or dandruff where your body is attaqing the eye by mistake, or allowing some pathogen to attack the membranes of the eye because your immune system can't eliminate it due to some flaw.
