Literally all Olympic Lifts are a waste of time unless you specifically want to be better at doing Olympic Lifts for the sake of doing Olympic Lifts. I guess if you want to compete or just find them fun or something then go ahead, but if you're just trying to develop your body they are a waste of time and potentially extremely dangerous. They confer no additional benefit to simply lifting and are far worse for bodily development.

Olympic lifts are a performance lift, they exist as a display of strength and skill. They're not something you train with unless you intend to do them in a competition.

It is not the type of exercise that you can take to failure, good for athleticism, but not for bodybuilding.
I recently started doing them too. They are good for athleticism and power as opposed to strength and hypertrophy. Muscles worked are posterior chain + traps + forearms. They hit similar muscles to the deadlift basically.
It's funny how we are all collectively transitioning from powerlifting/bodybuilding into martial arts and Olympic lifting. I think it's the natural next step.
