You should get it straight from the tap, not buy it in a store. Make sure it's A2, not A1. Milk from Jersey or Guernsey cows also has 18% more protein and more vitamins and minerals.

it literally is not. If you buy pasteurized milk from the supermarket you also pay for the processing, transport, wages of the workers, shareholders profit, etc. If you buy raw milk from the farmer you just pay for the milk and the farmer. 20% cheaper where I live

Raw milk is based and better in literally every way than pasteurized milk. More intact and absorbable nutrients, enzymes and good bacteria still intact/alive, less irritating to the gut, less likely to cause issues in lactose intolerant drinkers, tastes leagues better. Get A2 if you can. Also make your own kefir from raw milk if you can't digest it. Raw milk kefir is delicious.

It is more accurate to call it unpasteurised milk. As to whether you should consume it - really that is down to how much you trust the source. Pasteurised milk ensures lapses in hygiene at dairy farms are not passed to the consumer. Also consider the type of person who would aspire to sell unpasteurised milk - more often than not they have even worse hygiene practices than the farmers who pasteurise

      Anonymous

You're a moron that knows nothing about how dairy farms operate. Dairies that pasteurize are disgusting as they have no reason to keep the udder clean since pasteurization is going to kill everything. Raw milk producers are required by law to be extremely hygienic.

pasteurization was started due to the rapid industrialization and urbanization that made dairy farms so filthy that milk started to make people sick, people exclusively drank unpasteurized milk up until like the 1850s

Begone dairy shill. Pasteurization is a relic of early industrial farming practices which led to sick cows, which led to toxic milk. Modern laws regarding raw dairy are overly strict almost to the point of absurdity. We drank raw milk for thousands of years with no issues prior to industrialization.

    Tastes milkier than pasteurized milk.
Purely anecdotally, most of the benefits from raw milk can also be found in pasteurized milk from local farms.
Factory farming makes shit quality food from shit conditions, and pasteurizing is a necessary bandaid to keep it from killing you.

  25. 11 months ago

Pasteurization is the only safe way of consuming milk. Raw milk will always carry a risk, no matter what you do with it. You can probably minimize risk by buying from a trusted source, but you're always one screwup away from a really bad time. People who consumed milk prior to the invention of pasteurization also faced these risks, often unknowingly. It wasn't until the 1800s that people started linking raw milk consumption to some of the awful diseases at the time. Pasteurization was the solution to this problem. There's no reason to store and buy raw milk, except to ride the "natural food" markup hype.
Some people say raw milk tastes different, but that's probably because it's typically nonhomogenized and because of bacterial byproducts. If you want a safer alternative, try pasteurized nonhomogenized milk. The homogenization process oxidizes milk somewhat, which does affect flavor.

fricking stupid as shit, if you want more gut health just go to yogurt or other fermented products, you don't need to expose yourself to harmful pathogens. It's not more nutritious, and even if it was more nutritious, that extra nutrition is completely offset by the risk of making you seriously ill.

        Anonymous

        the risks outweigh the benefits

show me any reputable source touting a substantial benefit over regular milk. I'll even entertain your schizophrenia, lets say it is nutritious. This means you have to consume it thousands of times during your whole life to get maybe a month or two extra of life, you have to roll the dice thousands of times in order to reap any benefit from it, because the diseases you can get from it will offset any benefit you get from it.

It's an unnecessary risk. Unless this shit is actually curing cancer and heart disease, there's no reason to drink it. Diet is 95% energy balance, the extra 5% is eating healthy and minmaxing on quality of food.

Nutrition And Physical Degeneration - Dr. Weston A. Price
          https://healthwyze.org/archive/nutrition_and_physical_degeneration_doctor_weston_a_price.pdf

Pasteurized milk caused scurvy and plenty of other diseases among babies and children when it was first implemented. It is the cause of the so-called lactose intolerance since the heat treatment destroys the enzyme lactase that allows the body to easily digest it.
You can easily check this by yourself by looking for maps of "lactose intolerance" in Europe then checking in wikipedia which countries consume the most UHT milk.
UHT is a more severe form of heat treatment that gives the product a much longer shelf life. The countries that drink the most of it are the ones with the highest intolerance.

Honestly, I don't expect to change the opinion of people brainwashed into being terrified of bacteria.
Bacteria are always good. Bacteria digest our food and remove dead cells from our body. They're the janitors of the body.
Bacteria are blamed for diseases they actually cure. Salmonella digests our food and eats dead skin cells. E. Coli produces plenty of substances that feeds our brain.
To say bacteria causes disease is to be profoundly ignorant of how our digestion and entire body works.

But I don't expect to undo the delusions caused by two centuries of the Germ Theory hoax in a post.
Believe what you want. Hell, even feel free to call me a moron if it even makes you feel good about yourself.
I will keep drinking raw milk, eating raw meat, and enjoying a much better health than I otherwise would while you stay none the wiser.

yes the breakneck speed of developing an effective vaccine for something that was killing tens of thousands of people a day and traded that for a very small percentage of vaccine receivers having issues, yes that is certainly something that is comparable to 1930s snake oil.

The fact that you can only argue in fallacy elucidates how disingenuous your argument is. The consumption of raw milk has killed more people per capita than the vaccines have.

The Weston A. Price foundation still exists today and there are plenty of doctors and physicians that support it and write articles explaining why everything he taught was right.
Raw milk has never killed anybody and all the bacteria in it is perfectly beneficial. Raw milk is the first food you ever consumed.
Every single baby and child that has NOT been raised on their mother's raw milk has developmental problems.

From 1998 through 2018, 202 outbreaks occurred because of drinking raw milk. These outbreaks caused 2,645 illnesses and 228 hospitalizations.
Among illnesses linked to unpasteurized milk that occurred from 2013 through 2018, 48% (325) were among people aged 0–19 years.
Areas where raw milk was legally sold had 3.2 times more outbreaks than areas where the sale of raw milk was illegal. Areas where raw milk was allowed to be sold in retail stores had 3.6 times more outbreaks than areas where sale was allowed only on farms.
The study shows laws that increase the availability of raw milk are associated with more illnesses and outbreaks.

The average number of outbreaks linked to raw milk each year was four times higher from 2007 through 2012 than from 1993 through 2006.

                https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/18/3/11-1370_article

From 1993 through 2006, 121 outbreaks were linked to dairy products identified as pasteurized or unpasteurized (raw). These outbreaks resulted in 4,413 illnesses and 239 hospitalizations.
73 of these outbreaks were linked to raw milk, and 48 were linked to pasteurized milk.
If you consider the number of outbreaks associated with raw milk in light of the very small amount of milk that is consumed raw, the risk of outbreaks linked to raw milk is at least 150 times greater than the risk of outbreaks linked to pasteurized milk.

Honestly why would I trust any of that, it's just words. It's like when you tried to put everyone in camps because they wouldn't take some magic goo to stop a cold. You are unhinged cultists. I believe in reality, I have been drinking raw milk for years and never gotten sick from it and you're sitting there with drinking pick related and shouting two more weeks until botulism.

Wasn't it explained earlier in the thread that modern dairy farming is so unhygenic that it's what causes that stuff in the first place?

                >yes the breakneck speed of developing an effective vaccine for something that was killing tens of thousands of people a day and traded that for a very small percentage of vaccine receivers having issues, yes that is certainly something that is comparable to 1930s snake oil.

                >The fact that you can only argue in fallacy elucidates how disingenuous your argument is. The consumption of raw milk has killed more people per capita than the vaccines have.

                >killing tens of thousands of people a day
Ah yes, I remember the bodies stacked in the streets, the endless fires burning those piles of the dead, fed evermore by the neverending stream of corpses. Families wailing, unable to give their dead proper funerals from the sheer overload of the deceased. Only the wealthiest were able to afford simplistic cremations for their loved ones. Ambulances literally crammed full, most died from the cramped conditions on the way to the hospital. But it was worth the risk just to hope you’d be one of the fortunate to survive the journey. What grim days the years of twenty to twenty two were. Finally, they rolled out that fountain of life, the blessed vaccine, and as I stood in the several mile long line (masked, of course), I eagerly looked forward to salvation from that dreaded plague. Sadly, it was not to be. After several hours, as I was a mere five people from the front of the line, a piano that was being moved out of a window above snapped it’s ropes and fell, crushing me to death instantly. Upon autopsy, they discovered I had the virus, and so covid had claimed another victim. If only I had been able to receive the vaccine.

You will never be a real physician. You are a worthless academic twisted by germ theory and Big Pharma propaganda into a crude mockery of the Hippocratic Oath.

All the validation you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back everyone knows your kind kill far more people than you save. Even desperate people riddled with tumors know that you're just killing them with chemotherapy. Same with "HIV" patients. You will always be a quack. Your habit of handing out antidepressants like they're candy is a dead giveaway. Even if you manage to convince elderly people their progressing blindness and early dementia symptoms are just caused by "aging" and not the statins you prescribed them for years, their millenial and zoomer children will turn tail before taking any advice of yours after having seen what you've done to their parents.

I found my source by looking on the internet for people selling goats in my local area.
I contacted one of them and asked him if he'd know of a farm that would sell me milk.
You can also just go to google maps and search for farms and contact them.
It may take some time and searching, but you should find some nearby.

Personally, I'd recommend raw goat's milk over raw cow milk. Goats tend to be fed their natural diet whereas most cow farms will feed them grains which will make the milk pretty bad.

        Anonymous

Forgot to add: most cows today are a genetic abomination raised to produce as much milk as possible, the milk is completely different than the milk that's actually used by natural animals to raise their calves. The macronutrient ratios, the enzymes, etc. As long as it produces more white liquid that counts as milk they're good to go.

That's also why I recommend goat's milk over cow, even if it's more expensive. It's also easier to digest for us since it's the animal milk that's closest to human.

      >Trust the science
Post the the actual primary articles. I don’t trust secondary sources because they don’t talk about the methods of testing. The thing that instantly raised red flags from this shit was when they talked about antibiotics resistant strains of bacteria in the milk, which would only be present in cows given antibiotics, which is far more common in large dairy factories rather than small times farms, which would make me think they just sampled raw milk from a factory rather than a small time farm where the cow isn’t up to its knees in its own shit. In other words these results would not be representative of what someone would experience if they got raw milk from a well groomed cow on a small time farm. I don’t even give a shit if people drink raw milk or not, since it doesn’t make that much of a difference, but gays like you who reference “science” blindly are moronic homosexuals who just muddy the water as much as the studies you post.

If you've ever had any gut issues I would ease into it. I find I can handle raw milk kefir just fine, but unfermented raw milk bothers my stomach even in small doses (2 tsp). You could be one of the lucky people who has no issues with it, but better safe than sorry.

No gut issues ever despite having drunk lots of pasteurized milk in my life. Looks like i'm going to do great with this.

It's 100% a conspiracy. I wouldn't say it's a israeli conspiracy. As long as you're getting fresh milk from healthy cows eating their natural diet (grass), raw milk is fine.

I make yummi protein shakes with it. I live in a free state that actually lets you buy it from the store and I haven’t bought any other milk. The biggest issue is it cost a ton in the market in the city, it’s like half the price as the farm stand but that takes a bit of a drive to get to.
