i've only ever used magnesium glycinate (100mg) but that stuff knocks me out hard and then i feel like i didn't sleep at all the following day

The "wrong" kind of magnesium gives you loose stool, the "right" kind are basically muscle relaxers which if you're IST yeah can give you a moments rest for a few good night's consistent sleep but you'll slowly become Hungover and lethargic. Look for food alternatives and just learn some sleep hygiene for a better life.

zinc deficiency is caused by magnesium dysregulation. you only need to take magnesium and vitamin d3. anything else you should get your blood checked first to see if you even need it.
