It’s not even snus it’s just some crystals with nicotine in them inside a pouch. I liked camel snus but it’s over $10 a can now so I switched to general
I like all that except the stronger flavor.
I like to leave them in while I am doing other stuff like talking or drinking water and the stronger flavor would be annoying.
>mouth cancer
What the frick from ZYNs? surely that’s negligible and less likely than chew right?
Zyn/Rogue are just nicotine pouches. They're not associated with any mouth cancer that's why they had to change the gay label of "this product causes gum disease" to "this product contains nicotine an addictive chemical". Nicotine just get's a bad rap because the mainstream has demonized tobacco so much. There's some evidence suggesting that it (just nicotine) is neuroprotective, delays Alzheimer, and improves memory retention. But some also speculate that it leads to accelerated skin aging because it's vasoconstrictive, and or poorer cardio performance.

I don't understand the point of nicotine, I can vape with friends occasionally and it's meh. I don't feel much, then bought an elf bar for myself, I get massive headaches from just a couple puffs. Where's the high? What's the benefit?
Another time, chilling at the gym, bro gives me a 6mg zyn. My workout turns to dogshit, massive brainfog. It was okay cus we were shooting the shit but I have zero clue what people get out of nicotine.
it was a nice upper that gave me euphoria. That was my opinion of it when I was using. I still miss it sometimes t b h. I guess some people just have different affinities for different drugs. Like some people try weed and become lifetime stoners and then you have people like me who tried it on several occasions but never got into it because it just made me feel like a mute moron. But coffee and nicotine? That's my shit. Or coffee is, nicotine use to be, but I had to quit because vasoconstrictive properties got on my nerves. If it wasn't for that I'd still be using. I should probably just look for more euphoric/dopaminergic 'performance' drugs. I think that's the pharmacological properties I'm after. Need something like nicotine without the sides.
The buzz people think you get from nicotine ACKSHULLY comes from other chemicals in tobacco.
Zyn/rouge is for people who want the test and nootropic boosts of nicotine without the health drawbacks of tobacco.
but you are an adult and responsible for your own health/consumption decisions.

No nicotine in isolation does cause a buzz (I actually started with zyn first before transferring to real tobacco so I speak from experience). It's still dopaminergic in nature. It's just that tobacco is EXTRA addictive because it has OTHER addictive feel good chemicals along with it, such as MAOIs. This is why ciggies are harder to quit than vaping and often people who go from ciggies to vape to wing themselves off say "it's just not the same" and return to smoking gays.
Let’s say you play a sport utilizing cardio, if you recreationally smoke cigarettes a few times a week would you be worse off than using ZYNs? if that’s the case ZYN still seems like a plus. I think I’ve heard some people say that if they smoke one cigarette, it affects their cardio for like 3 days. I have no idea if thats true or not. Do you think a ZYN actually negatively effects your cardio? Really?
How many days before an event or competition would you say to stop using ZYN pouches for it to not affect your cardio? I don’t understand how ZYN pouches can effect your cardio let alone being worse for cardio performance than smoking it makes no sense
Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor. When I quit, my resting heart rate went from high 60’s to low 50’s in about 48 hours.

Interesting that there was a delayed effect. I wonder if that’s typical and reliable or just an outlier. If that’s the case a 48 hour buffer window before something important is a good idea. Strange.
For me, it only effects me if I'm using it. Imagine smoking while doing pull ups. So probably half a day when your body flushes the nicotine? Withdrawals tho.
That sounds more reasonable.

I measured my heart rate a little bit after my last pouch and measured again 48 hours later. For all I know my heart rate slowed down sooner. But just know that nicotine withdrawals and cravings will start kicking in within a couple hours. So if your plan is to just stop using nicotine 48 (or however long) hours before you need to stop for whatever reason, it’s not that easy.

Nicotine doesn't fully leave your system until 48-72hrs later which is why if you're addicted that's when withdrawal symptoms peak. That's the simple explanation.

Didn’t read but whatever benefits I could potentially receive from nicotine are outweighed by the fact that 1) it’s addictive (this alone is enough to make you not want to do it) and 2) it’s a vasoconstrictor. Whatever benefits you can get from nicotine, there’s probably 100 healthier non addictive ways to get them.

you’re simple minded. period. I used to think in simple terms like you when I was like 18. point is, you can LARP as a monk, while you work your office job or whatever in society and never drink a beer or a soda and pretend you’re an enlightened being, but it doesn’t matter. People who are stupid and don’t think ahead in their life destroy their body with bad habits they don’t control at all. Midwits who are the smartest moron in the room abstain from anything “bad” thinking it’s going to be the key to being successful in life or that anyone else than them cares. People who actually have life experience and have thought ahead to the future understand that even if you do everything in life perfectly you aren’t guaranteed tomorrow. For me, it only effects me if I'm using it. Imagine smoking while doing pull ups. So probably half a day when your body flushes the nicotine? Withdrawals tho.
>it affects their cardio for like 3 days
doubt. it's the blood pressure rise from nicotine, which has a short half life. nicotine + cardio can be done if you only use after the day's workouts are done. but that's hard because it's very habit forming. and what if you break routine and have an evening workout? do you just fiend all day? no, better to quit
its just nicotine. I believe the research on the effects of pure nicotine is limited given that its been overshadowed by the fact that its usually consumed with the combination of tobacco which is harmful.
The research that is available is shit, but if used in reasonable amounts and not every single day; you will probably be fine.
Surprisingly I had no withdrawals or cravings. And that’s after 5 failed attempts to quit in the previous 6 months (longest I made it was 4 days b4 this) where I had hellish cravings and withdrawals. Counting my blessings and moving on.
Nicotine is weird because it has such a short half life. You withdraw in your sleep. What's left is pretty much Pavlovian. It's not like nicotine with the headache. The suffering is just...that you want some nicotine.
based, I slipped up two weeks ago but before that I had no nicotine for two and a half months. It's alcohol that triggers me and that's why I "slipped up" two weeks ago.
Why would you use nicotine during a workout? It’s utility is being a nice buzz and head rush when you aren’t doing anything active, maybe just during light activity like a walk.
He was a moron on every stim in existence, I just tried one cus I had very little experience with nicotine. I still don't get any high or buzz. What is the upside of nicotine?
At least with coke I feel awesome, on gear you feel good all the time with the androgens and extra test.
Maybe you didn’t take enough I don’t know. Nicotine simply gives me a head rush but sometimes it doesn’t. it’s just a 5 minute buzz. makes you a little light headed. Which is why doing it in a workout is silly compared to just caffeine
I understand smoking. Feels nice, looks cool, women hate it, lots of reasons to enjoy. But just stripping out the raw chemical and putting it in you is some lab-rat brained shit. People typically get addicted to nicotine from ciggies then switch over though.
The buzz people think you get from nicotine ACKSHULLY comes from other chemicals in tobacco.

it's a whole rabbit hole.
The government medical archives has studies on how it lowers risk of dementia like 60% in the elderly and mentally ill.
Apparently the nootropic health benefits of coffee and nicotine was discovered because actual schizos would almost universally self medicate with those substances so they investigated and found they are instinctually drawn to it because it protects the brain against infirmities and the negative side effects of SSRIs and anti-psychotics.

I've started popping one on nights after drinking. Feels pretty good when your on ur comedown. 1-2 packs every couple weeks won't hurt, and it gives you a nice buzz when ur walking back to ur place at night outside in the summer. Just because its not healthy doesn't mean ur not allowed to enjoy things, in moderation as always.
In my experience.
Dip and Chew have a greater negative impact on lifting than vaping.
Ideally, you wouldn't vape.
I've never smoked consistently, but I know nicotine isn't great for the body.
Fun to take every now and again.
Good on a long drive with music and a coffee on a nice day. Also nice for a preworkout, I felt like I was more focused in the gym when I had taken a pouch beforehand. usually would keep it in for the majority of the lift. Good times.
I was really enjoying Zyn and started taking 2-3 pouches daily, I didn't notice any sides for a few weeks.
Started to feel really unmotivated / tired in my waking life which is abnormal to me, these feelings would go away when I would pop a pouch in.
I stopped using them so often when I realized what was causing those feelings.

does any of this stuff effect cardio in a negative way if you play a sport?
yeah I cannot wrestle after popping one, I gas immediately. coffee is bad but I can work through it. nicotine is just a hell no
