Air fryers are just toaster ovens. I’m not debating they’re useful for young single men who can’t cook well, but I eat OMAD usually and prefer to use iron based stuff to increase my iron

He’s right, they’re extremely similar. Main benefit of the air fryer is that it’s smaller and takes less time to heat. The outside of stuff tends to brown more aggressively since the heating element and fan are so close to the food, but that doesn’t mean it’s being fried.
Unless you’re DYEL then there’s nothing wrong with sautéing food in tallow or olive oil. Tastes better too.

These are for people who aren’t good cooks or eat frozen processed stuff. I usually use a cast iron, Dutch oven, bbq, smoker, or crockpot for most of my meals. I don’t like fried food + it’s bad for me. Not worth the counter space for eating French fries 1x every 2 months.

I put diced potatoes, salmon, chicken, homemade beef patties, sprouts in my air fryer and they come out perfect every time in under 40 minutes.
By "fried food" I presume you mean something cooked on the hob in loads of oil
I put those on my grill and they’re done in 15-20
Actually they are good for reheating food
Quicker and more efficient than an oven and doesn’t turn everything to soggy shit like the microwave
