    I don't think you can do 10 reps of 85% for a single set, let alone 10 sets.
    I generally do better at higher reps than lower reps, but even I can't get more than about 6, maybe 7 reps of 85% of my 1RM.

      Instead of doing 10 sets of the same exercise I think you'd benefit more from doing 3 sets with 3 different exercises.
      Bench Press x 3
      Shoulder Press x 3
      Skullcrushers x 3

      Also who the frick does that much deadlift volume? But yea same thing
      Deadlifts x 3
      pulldowns x 3
      DB row x 3

      10x10@85%? Did you even think about this at all?

        True 85% is around a 6 rep max. 10x10 isn't pushing it with high intensity, it's fricking impossible. Try 70-75%.

        Do people on this board seriously only do 20 sets total for a workout? I’ve been doing 35 sets with cardio at the end for a long time. I’m not trying to look down on you, I’m just surprised that people get productive workouts this way.

        Because they actually lift. 20 total working sets with compounds is a hard workout.

      Depends on days per week in gym. I go 6 days a week and do 18 sets total per week per muscle group. Any more is overkill and provides no added gains unless you’re a roidtanny or your intensity sucks ass
