A modern activated carbon filter will remove most of the stuff you're worried about.
Also, get yourself a tds meter for $5 on Amazon. test the water out of the faucet, and then after it has been through the filter. you should notice a big drop in tds (total dissolved solids)
No it won't.
install filter on potable water supply feeding the house
The best way to purify water is to freeze it. Because toxins like heavy metals and plastic have a much lower freezing point than water. So when you free the water into ice the toxins and micro plastic don’t get frozen. Then all you have to do is melt the ice and drink your purified water
Quick question. Will a brita filter take the fluoride out of my tap water?
No, they mostly just take the chlorine out
Fluoride is only removed via RO or distillation. The molecule is very very tiny.
You really don't need to worry about the lack of minerals. You'll get more than enough sodium etc from your food.
It's very bad for you to avoid your daily fluoride, chloride and ammonium and other trace-medi ...minerals goy!
You'll develop all kinds of ailments without them, You have to buy these fluoride pills to re-mineralize your water or you're going not going to survive!
moving to a new place where the waters meant to be pretty not great (Sydney), what would be the best filter to use with a secondary tap on the sink that wouldn't have me fricking around trying to remineralize n shit? or is that all a memem
Remineralization is a fear-meme made by those in control of your water supply and health system.
It's a repeated lie with no authentic studies backing it up meant to scare the population from stopping consumption of toxic public water intended as is.
Just think about it, you drink a glass of water with <0.001% mineral salts, then you eat food with >1% mineral salts.
Toxic chemicals, btw chloride+ammonium=neurotoxin must be better for your body than losing out on 0.001% salt because you've heard it so many times it must be true.
I distill my tap water and I kid you not, the residue left in the pot is a brown/black sticky goo that smells like chemical death and that tap water is considered Safe™
that was what I was leaning towards. my primary fear was just that havingbthe water purified too thoroughly would lead to something that's outright bad to drink or tasted extremely nasty
Waste of money, your tap water is fine unless you live in the states or UK-your water is fricked and this shit won’t help.
>t. Water treatment gay
This. Been in many countries but burgerland was the only place where people said it was okay to drink the tapwater and it tasted like it came straight out of a swimming pool
I'm a third worlder
False. A good system will remove fluoride:

A good system will definitely help. US tap water is the reason that people in the US are the way they are. You want to avoid this.
Get a zerowater pitcher and filter, it's a real filter not like that namby pamby brita bullshit
RO water has a ph that is too low (6.0). Distilled water is better. Removes all the nasty little fluoride goblins while maintaining a ph of 7.0
>t.has Berkey, RO, and distiller
Any home distiller recommendations?
Eat raw fruits and vegetables to replace electrolytes
>NOOOOOOOO YOU NEED TO HAVE FLUORIDE AND ESTROGEN IN THE WATER FOR YOU TO LIVE
you don’t actually believe this... right?
>water from the sky that has no "natural minerals" is toxic
greatest meme ever told.
Just get a water distilled for your counter that uses SS and glass
That kind of filter is good if on your main water line for helping with showers etc
