I have shitty knees and bad joints in general from hypermobility. My knees only hurt from squatting when I go to the gym after working a shift and being on my feet all day. As long as I squat on my days off they feel perfect. I do a2g high bar and front squats, which also feel the best for my knees.
I have never heard of squats hurting your back. Not even good morning low bar squats should do that as long as you have proper bracing and no butt wink.
Also that pic's front squat example is fricking trash, and the one leg squat guy is too much of a dyel to even do a real squat.
Forget the barbell for a few weeks. You need to build mobility, and a good way for that is just stretch and try doing bodyweight squats throughout the day. You should be able to do a flat footed deep slav squat like pic related literally anywhere, it's a natural resting position.
I feel like most americans need mobility training to be able to squat
if ur back is hurting maybe ur not flexing your abs dummy
if your knees hurt when squatting you haven't read starting strength. Simple as.
this page is really shitting on goblin squat. doing 4x12 w/ 100lb dbs hits your legs pretty well. you can get some decent development with it
>I’m putting together a team.
Goblet squats doesn’t help with fricking technique. You can’t learn something by doing it differently.
I hate squats so much it's unreal. I look forward to just about every other lift in my program to varying degrees, but I fricking hate doing squats.
Post legs.
Where zercher?
In the rehab Program for cripples where it belongs
for me its db bulgarian split squats + sissy squats + nordic hamstring curls for proper leg gains without the risk of hurting my lower back.
>sissy squats
Goblet Squats are the greatest squat exercise ever created.

I’m not fat and I literally cannot do full ROM squats without intense knee pain. I’ve never had knee injuries either. It sorta sucks tbh.
