Never understood this. If you're that desperate to lose weight, why not just take something like amphetamines which will literally cut your appetite to zero and give you enough energy to go through a day. You'd also be more active and so burn more of your weight off as well.
I've actually been using nicotine gum for a while but for focus rather than weight loss, I take 1mg a day and take weekends off so I don't get a dependency. I use it to focus later in the day as it's a stimulant that has a much shorter half life than caffeine so it doesn't disturb my sleep. I might start taking it throughout the day as well for weight loss.
