Schedules

Let’s talk, and share our schedules and how we fit exercise and cooking into it.
>4am
Wake up. Shit, shave, (quick 5 minute rinse off) cold shower
>4:30am
Walk 30 minutes
>5am
Shower, eat 2-3 eggs leave for work
>5:45am-3:30Pm
Work (lunch is either something small, or maybe a sandwich, or I skip it in favor of a larger dinner)
>4pm
Get home. Cold shower rinse off 5 minutes, stretch, 20 mins meditate, dick around in phone until 5
>5pm
Lift, once a week I do 20-30 minutes of cardio usually row sometimes jog.
>5:30-6pm
Cook dinner, either something from scratch or take meal prep out fridge/freezer and warm, eat
>6:20-9pm
Dick around do whatever, job applications, cook food for next few days, maybe some vidya, definitely not jacking off haha gross, read, hobbies
>9pm
Sleep
What does yours look like? How would you critique mine? I used to like lifting early in the morning but changed to after work a few years ago. Maybe if I get a new job I’ll do it in the AM again.

I work swing shift so when I work days:
    >4 AM Wake up, cook some pork belly, sausage, or eggs for breakfast. Drink a glass of lemon water with my supplements.
    >430 AM Watch something on YouTube with breakfast while getting dressed, brushing teeth etc
    >530 AM Work starts, first cup of coffee
    >11ish AM Lunch, normally 1 lb of smash burger patties using 75% lean with heart, kidney, and liver, topped with cheese
    >545 PM Get home, change into sweats and start doing sets to failure
    >645 PM Shower
    >730 PM Din-din, normally 16oz of steak. I also cook lunch for the next day
    >750 PM Clean kitchen
    >8 PM Calling or texting gf normally happens here if it does
    >830 PM Brush teeth and head to bed

Night shift is basically the same except I wake up around 2 in the afternoon and I go to the gym after work around 545AM because it's empty.

      >calling or texting GF
I could use advice on this. She wants to spend the whole day on the phone, and I enjoy talking to her but frick I can’t spend the entire day on the phone. Even on my day off I prefer to be alone and just do my own thing, it mentally refreshes me. I can do a few hours but not half or the whole fricking day.
How do you fit dates and hangouts into your schedule? It may be the autism but I don’t like deviating because it fricks my flow up, even for pussy.

for better or worse, I think the first chunk of a relationship you have to accept your ability to keep this 'flow' is going to be compromised. this will get better eventually. I guess if she is too clingy for you then too bad.

Well because I work 12 hour shifts, I get several days off at a time, she also works 12 hour shifts since she's a nurse, so our dates get planned catch-as-catch-can. As far as the phone goes, just be less available. It's not going to hurt your relationship, might even strengthen it. Cut calls short and if she notices and asks why just tell her what you gotta do.

honestly Snapchat has been great for me with this. less pressure to respond and I can just send her a picture I took of my computer screen or random shit and she loves it

Anon what do you do on days off, assuming you get any?
May I recommend you get into fishing? It saved my life. I was in your position, realized I do nothing for my own personal fun, so I got into my old childhood hobby again. Simply being outside, exploring new potential fishing locations, being semi active, redeveloping the skills involved, and relearning some basic patience fixed me. When I started catching fish again I felt great. It’s my only real hobby but I love it, I have something to look forward to doing now. Even if my whole week I’m busy and won’t have time to fish, if I know I have one day off I feel pretty good just knowing I can look forward to that. It took away a lot of anxiety and depression, also loneliness oddly enough even though I purely do it solo. I can relate to what you posted, it’s how I felt for my entire 20s until I started to fish again last year. I was starting to fantasize about offing myself.
The other thing is I also found God again.
Doesn’t have to be fishing, but try to explore interests and hobbies in your free time if you can. You can start fishing for like $70.

What’s it like having a nurse GF? I used to work in medicine and the nurses always got me rock hard. I couldn’t imagine dating one, because part of the attraction was them being in scrubs but just knowing what I know and how nasty the jobs can be was also a turn off. I imagine if I dated a nurse I would make her take a scalding hot shower as soon as she got home every day. Thanks for the advice though man. I’ve been doing that and she seems understanding but she sounds super sad when I say I gotta go do whatever. Makes me feel bad since we can’t see each other as often as we’d like.

It’s a manufacturing job, but it’s very technical. It’s something you’d need a degree for, and for my position you’d need over a decade of experience at least.
If I was in your position I’d look into long term pay offs of career fields. You might make $10k more at one entry level job over another, but if the other pays $50k more a year after 5 years experience it might be worth going with that.
Unfortunately I might end up selling the farm because I might have to move for work. It sucks because I spent almost a decade building it up.
