    Basically, you weren’t meant to have added fat in your diet. You were supposed to get your fat from whole food sources, not throw away the rest of the food and add refined fat back into your food.

    Refined fat and refined sugar add extra calories to your food without the volume and nutrients that food originally came with, meaning you eat more and don’t get fuller.

    Seed oils are also heavy on omega 6 fats, which causes an imbalance between omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids consumed in your diet. You are supposed to eat omega 6 fats in moderation, somewhere around 1-4 times as much as omega 3 fats. Instead, it’s more like 20x for the modern American. This contributes to a state of chronic inflammation, which only ages you faster.

    Why seed oils are supposed to be bad is generally, when a species of animal eats fats that oxidize quickly, they die quicker too.
    Enter seed oils. They do exactly that. Oxidize quicker than more natural forms of fat and you know your heart smart shart blart margarine they market? That's just it. Marketing. When all those butter replacements were introduced, they didn't have long term data on what health impacts seed oil spreads would have, so they said whatever the frick they wanted.
    Since the mainstream introduction of seed oils, heart attacks and strokes which were meant to be rare before the widespread use of seed oils started to raise. In the times of lard and tallow used for frying, this wasn't such a widespread issue.
    I fell for the OP's bait and wrote an essay at the expense of my time.
