Should I give up?

I've determined that weight loss is impossible for people like me. I exercise for almost 2 hours a day, and lift weights constantly, but my weight just stays the same. The reality of weight loss has not caught up with the actual science of it. Until that can be fixed, it is pointless to even try. This fitness thing can only be solved by science at this stage. Nothing they tell us fat people actually works. Nothing.

If it was as easy as not eating, no one in the world would be fat. The reality is that your brain will take you back to your set point, which has to do with the number of fat cells on your body. There is no way to escape from that.

He didn't say it was easy. Speak to a nutritionist, if you've done everything that a person who is seeking weight loss would reasonably do in the first place.

No, that's not true at all. There are a lot of easy things people don't do and suffer because of it. One example is going outside.

Fasting does cause your body to break down fat cells completely...

It also causes your muscle cells to break down completely.

Just run the bulgarian method in conjunction. I did it for a 7 day fast, lost 10lbs and gained 25lbs on all my lifts.
Your body isn't dumb, if your actively using your muscles. It won't break them down when another energy source is avaliable.
Issue is if you go overboard on volume and your muscles are to destoryed to recover.

          Small decisions over many years.
For example let's say you are 220 pounds and want to weigh 170. You calculate the tdee of the 170 pound person to be 2100 calories a day. If you do no exercise and don't care how long it takes in two years you will weigh 170 pounds just buy eating the lower tdee.

I literally ate pizza for two days and lost weight doing it. I do no cardio. Been lifting some weights, not on a set schedule, just when I feel like it. Lost 15 lbs in 5 weeks. Meanwhile you do 2hrs of pointless exercise when you could spend 7 minutes a day calorie counting.

    >Pic related pan pizza spilt in half and a small salad. Same entries for two days.

same. i eat a pizza like once every weekend or every other week, it's basically the only thing I eat that day besides some fruits for breakfast. still maintain same weight or weigh less and i put on weight extremely easily. shame about OP!

I couldn't do once a week with pizza. It made me feel kind of weird. Like it was too much grease all at once even though I was under calories. Maybe I should have had one slice an hour.

I had the flu and accidentally lost 2kg in a week. I otherwise have to consciously remind myself to eat over satiety. I've been chubby before too, because I ate like shit and didn't work out. Getting to very low bf% is hard. Not being a fat piece of shit is so extremely easy, I have zero respect for obese people as human beings.

      Anonymous

0 iq take. no you did not go from 24% bf to 20% within a week.
second it is definitely not your body's instict to tell you to move and exercise to be on a deficit. there is absolutely no advantage and primitive instincts that would suggest your body to PREFER going on a deficit. absolutely none. the state of being on a deficit is exactly the opposite of what your body is trying to do. its trying to do everything to NOT be on a deficit. maintenance + surplus >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> deficit and this isn't limited to humans, literally every animal functions like this also.

you go on a hunt, get a kill, eat and then rest as much as possible and burn as little calories as possible. it would be completely moronic to forcefully burn the calories you just risked your life to gain.
now i dont disagree with op being fat fricking lazy piece of shit that is coping but you are full of shit also.

Sounds like you already did. You're overeating. Simple as. Stop shoveling food into your cakehole and you'll lose weight. Your body isn't breaking the laws of thermodynamics no matter how much coping and mental gymnastics you do

that's where you went wrong. Meme diets are way more effective than what scientists tell you. The 6 meal a day 200 calorie deficit is literally the worst possible weight loss strategy you can use.

You definitely don't work out 2 hours a day, and you definitely don't work out for any more than 5 days a week. If you're fat and want to lose weight then you shouldn't be working out anyway, building muscle doesn't make you lighter. Jesus fricking Christ you're moronic. How about go walk on a fricking treadmill for 2 hours you fat loser. Nobody here pities you and you should honestly just have a nice day for thinking that you can lose weight that easily. People work hard for their physiques and your fat ass acts like there's some secret code other than just hard work. I am genuine when I say this, please, have a nice day. You being alive has no positive repercussions for society and never will.

Probably just a shill troll. But I'll bite.

Yes, people who had been very overweight for many years almost never lose the weight. They can't do it even if they actually diet and exercise a lot.

The years being a fatass do fricks your hormones and metabolism making it ALMOST impossible.

Doesn't matter. Just lower your carbs, dry fast and move. If the weight loss stops, do longer fastings. It's hard, but not impossible.

Well anyway. Now that it is over for op. I really think we should have an in depth discussion on bulks. Is a clean bulk or a dirty bulk more effective at building muscle?
