I have been on Finn for 4 years and there has been a slightly recovery in my temples but mostly it's done nothing, no hair loss, no hair gain (I am 40)
NOW however it appears I am losing my crown, losing my crown whilst still on Finasteride, I don't know how this can still be happening, but I am wondering if changing my medication will help

get a fricking grip, you are aging.
Yeah but I need to stay attractive as I have no wife and no kids
Add oral min
It's over
Also look into adding something like RU/pyri. Different mechanism of action
The topical minox did nothing for me in two years...why would the oral one work. And, I can still pull Asian girls with height and blue eyes.
Topical min doesn't work for large no of ppl coz very few ppl actually have enzyme to process it or something like that
You can pull all girls not just azn girls while balding. It's a drawback for sure, but not end of the world. It can be worse. For eg. you could be short and that's worse but it's over for you if you don't have a wife and kids by 40 or aren't in the process of getting one
Yea do hair transplant if you have the money. It's worth it. Transplanted hair are less predisposed to hair loss
>wife and no kids
skill issue
How am I losing the fricking crown on 1.25mg of Fin a day, like frick.
I am fit and high test for my age, I just need hair, I am stronger at 40 then I was at 25 bro
Ok, but is this thread fitness related?
No it is not
Fin works for most people, but some people are just so predisposed to such aggressive balding that it's not enough, and in such cases, dutasteride may be necessary to stop the hair loss. Give it a go if you're not afraid of side effects. Also, you're in your 40s, so you really ought to have enough money for a hair transplant as well
Don't listen to the copium huffers who tell you to just go bald. Even people who look fine bald, still look even better with hair, and they know it
I do have enough for a hair transplant, but it seems it would just be lost again...
There's a reason why most bald dudes wear a cap tbh
the transplanted hairs come from the side of your head and they aren't susceptible to balding like the hairs on the top of your head are
you'll still have to take fin/dut to keep the original hairs that are still on the top of your head from balding any further, though
Thanks I am going to do this, it's more my hairline is not improving more than I am losing more although the crown vs cowlick thing is a potential issue.
I had challeges when I should of been dating, so I'll start now...
I started taking fin when I first noticed signs of balding at age 23 -- 9 years ago now. Since then, it has kept my hairline intact, and some of the diffuse thinning on top has reversed. My hair is still better today than it was before I started taking it, but not by much. Had I started any later than I did, I would have likely needed a hair transplant to keep myself from looking halfway bald.
Fin only reverses like a year's worth of balding at most. So at best, you'll go back to what you looked like at age 39 or so. It's important to be realistic about your expectations no matter which route of treatment you decide to take
getting a HT in exactly 2 weeks.
wish me luck bros.
is the anesthesia as painful as they say?

are you on oral min? If not get on it. Also yes Duta will block like 90% of DHT while fin only blocks like 70% I believe. Go see your dermatologist and ask for these new meds
