My upper body routine is just >weighted chins >false grip (just for practice) >"bicep" chin ups where I just make the grip very narrow and basically curl my body >dips >inverted shrugs
Then I have a couple 50lb dumbbells I just do high reps with for front delt insurance. I find people with the laundry list of 100 exercises are always twigs.
Incredibly based. I've had a lot of success just replacing my chest and back exercises with dips and and pull ups. It's like a cheat code for arm and core strength.
yeah power rack would be ideal, I have some good level beams in the garden I want to hang them off

I only use them for dips, basically a waste of money
I just bought some so I guess I'll find out if they're a waste of money, I think I'll get a lot of use out of them though
Maybe? It's a good 'standalone'(if you manage to find a place to hang them from) tool with shitload of exercises.
Not so much if you already have several (cable) machines, barbell and dumbells.
Ring exercises in current routine: >pull-ups >dips >inverted shrugs >front lever rows >leg raises (support hold) >face pulls >bicep curls with false grip
Stuff I experimented with for a while: >pushups (archer/pseudo planche) >flies >reverse flies >leg curls >ab rollouts >tricep extensions >archer rows >pelican curls >front lever pulls
nice anon, screencapped for workout inspo when my rings arrive, pretty excited now

It's honestly shocking how pathetic and disgusting my laziness is. I have a pair and I don't even take them outside to throw them over a basketball hoop or a tree branch and do some exercise. Frick, I even have access to a running track. I've lived near one for years. I don't run. Why? Why am I like this? I don't exercise, I just sit around talking about someday exercising. I'm like an obvious comic relief character in a story where the moral lesson you get from me is so obvious that it's left unsaid.
smaller goals. if you think about training one and a half hours and 8 exercises do half an hour and 4. rake up small successes to build confidence and motivation
Make a plan to just show up on a schedule. Don’t have any formal plans, just get there first then deal with what you’ll be doing. 90% of success is just showing up consistently.
Right now I'm only using them for dips, but in the past I've used them for pullups, rows, pushups, pelican curls, tricep extensions, support holds. Even if you end up mostly using weights, they're cheap and don't take up much space, and will still come in handy for some things.
>should i take the ringpill?
Depends on what you have. If you have a substantial set of dbs at home and gym membership not so useful. If you have some weights for barbell stuff but no dbs for accessories yeah by all means get rings. But they're a poor replacement for the bulk of your volume unless you're elderly or so poor you have no other options.
Nowhere to hang those frickers.
From your nipple rings

go to the park or get a half-rack off amazon

holy shit, amazing compound hits all around, thanks anon
I wish I could be like u, anon.
3 sets for exercise, my king? Also, what high reps you do with the dumbells? Just front raises?
Dips and deficit pushups. I hang them off my power track.

Use them for inverted rows, decline push ups. Neutral grip pull ups. Hell even hanging off then upside down is fun. homosexual.

Iron crosses on the ring pair well with dumbbell iron crosses. Trust me, it's perfect.
>get rings
>start shaking like a shitting dog
>realize that sharters aren't strong

They're worth buying for rows alone
