Should I train abs while obese? I’m down 30 pounds and lifting 4x a week. Not sure if abs are worth it or will be visible when done

More muscle means higher energy expenditure. And you can not rely on just one muscle to do all the growing of all other muscles combined. Doesn't work that way.
Also having something to reward you once you're there is a good idea.
If you have back problems from being fat then a stronger core will help alleviate them. Also helps your big compounds to have a strong core. Train abs every time you go to the gym. It sucks but it's worth it.
>stronger core
Abdominal muscles do not help with posture. Back muscles on the other hand do, especially the erector muscles.
>Train abs every time you go to the gym
When you have 10% or less bodyfat, you only have to train abs for about 6 weeks to build them. Training abs every time you go to the gym will only shock your CNS stealing your gainz.
If the abdominal wall doesn't play a role in stabilizing the spine then why do we brace when we lift heavy? Having a weak abdomen places more strain on the spinal erectors leading to fatigue and greater risk of injury.
You clearly don't know how to brace. It's not about tightening the abs or back but rather having a lot of air in your lungs -- expanding you and thus making your abdominal area tight. Look up valsalva maneuver for lifting.
You don't know what you're taking about
What back exercises should you do to train back muscles? I've always been told to do core stuff for posture
Face pulls and good mornings
No. Wait until your abs are visible before training them.
it takes a long time to build and develop a muscle so you better get started on those abs right away
You want to lose all that weight and still not have a six pack? Yes you should train abs, tubby.
Why are you lifting if you’re obese and presumably trying to drop a bunch of weight? You’re not going to build any muscle, including abs, in a calorie deficit
Weird that even when he was 15 he looked like shit. Some people were just born old.
he was like 25 at that first photo
No he's around 28 at that photo
He's uglybastardmaxxing in every photo
isn't that paul mccartney on the left?
>should I train abs
nah
they wont be visible if you dont have abs. its just like ur biceps wont be visible if you just cut. a lot of malnourished crackprostitutes weigh 90lbs and dont have what you would consider a "bicep". sure the muscle in itself is there but it doesnt look like anything.
unless you are squatting +4pl8 ja deadlifting +5pl8 you probably dont have just naturally strong enough of a core and big abs that they would just magically show up. this is very common why many people they have cursed genetics this, cursed bodyfat that. No you just dont have abs so they dont show up unless you drop down to like 6%. The bigger your chest/shoulders are, the higher bodyfat they will show up at. Same for abs.
Train them moron.
I am at this point. 80% through a cut and not even a hint. Doing a 3 day full body split and considering adding a dedicated ab day three times a week on off days. Every bodyweight, machine and kettlebell swing I can think of. Worth it or stupid?
Yes
U don't train abs, to have visible abs, u train them to make ur core stronger homosexual, all ur movements involved core muscles
Is it true that hgh makes your head grow larger? Someone said thats why Sam's head is so big. Also heard him tell some 17yo to take hgh on his stream to get taller
