No he's right, professional bodybuilders say OHP doesn't build anything too. It's useless for the most part

          Anonymous

Yeah, it doesn't use the delts after your upper arms break parallel. Partials are cool though. And strength training is a meme because progressing lifts in the 6-whatever range is already strength training and perfecting 3 specific lifts with techniques that do nothing for your force output outside of the lifts is.. something else.

I know I look like shit right now but thats because I am over 300 lbs. But I started the year 350 and lifting is saving me. What's your excuse?

no lol, unless you've got a six pack and are at 80-90% natty peak, nobody wants to look at you.
Keep going though, but don't bother throwing around your opinions on lifting unless you're at pic related level natty.

I am mad at hypertrophy obsessed homosexual bloatlords spreading misinformation. It's hard enough losing weight without homosexual fricking losers discouraging a good exercise. Some dumbass fat shit might actually listen to some of this tard talk and bail on OHP and be weaker & stay fatter longer because of it.

Lifting does barely anything for weight loss though, you want cardio for that. Also, it's all about the looks, in case you didn't know. A lean dude with a six pack will always mog a powershitter.

Thanks for outing yourself as a fricking moron that knows nothing about how to lose fat & keep it off. Cardio is literally the dumbest fricking thing to use for weight loss.

Increasing your muscle mass increases your bmr. Whereas cardio can easily cause muscle atrophy on a caloric deficit hence decreasing your bmr.

                Anonymous

Exactly. You reach a point where the passive energy expenditure just to maintain muscle starts burning your fat for you, constantly. Where as cardio just depletes glucose stores and immediately replaces them at your next meal. And cardio over 15 minutes triggers a cortisol release that actually slows down fat lipolysis

It really shouldn't be necessary to explain this to people here. Surely you've all seen how much bodybuilders eat.

                Anonymous

Bodybuilders also roid, which increases metabolism and fat burn, not to mention a whole wienertail of fatburners. I'm sure this is new for you.
Things bodybuilders do DO NOT apply to 300lbs fatsos.

                Anonymous

Okay I get it now. You're all idiots. Bodybuilders show us that getting to 230lbs of muscle and incline pressing 405 to failure costs like 10,000 calories.
Take those down to natty numbers and see that you at your limit is gonna cost like 5000 calories. Give a frick about studies on anabolics, the cost is the cost. If you need 5000 calories then 5000 calories cannot make you fat.

strict form with little to no bounce, especially compared to my bench; zero to minimal back sway. I remember lifting with my cousin who was a little taller and bigger than me but he couldn't even get 155; didn't think my OHP was anything special until he couldn't keep up

99% is too much, 1pl8 OHP is just being a bit athletic. That means pretty much any football, soccer, track and field athlete (possibly excluding some long distance runners), gymnasts, basketball players and so on, these aren't just 1% of the population anon.

        90%? Maybe.

Take that into account and check if you can do more than me or you’re a homosexual compared to a skinny manlet.
