Ignore her, negative parents are saboteurs. Post ideal body and give us some idea of where you're starting out from.

this is where im at now
I have a ways to go

Lmao, this is also my goal
This is achievable to anyone who is healthy and wants to do the work. It might take a year from skelly or 1-2 if you have to lose a lot of weight (i don't have personal experience of this). I hope to attain this by the end of the year and then maintain the rest of my life.
It does require a lot of hard work. I lift 6 days a week and do a lot of calisthenics on top, I'm constantly a bit sore but that feels like a receipt for the work I put in.

          what height? I'm 6' 175 rn

            5'8" 140
I was floating around 130 until I began lifting, I'd like to get to around 155.

Oh yeah you're well on the way. Your mom is an butthole, sorry but you just gotta stop listening to her. I also had sabotaging and physically abusive parents and unplugging from that has been a lifelong effort, I'm talking decades.

That's just being thin with beginners gains, dude. Even if you're 400 fricking pounds you could get there eventually. More of an insult against your willpower than it physically being possible. Prove your dumb c**t of a mother wrong.

I think he just likes to jest in a mean way, I would reflect it with something about competing together, maybe doing some cycling together. Not like doing a race or anything serious, but maybe “I bet I could cycle for longer than you” type of thing.

Mothers are usually moronic because they are women and need to demoralize you to make themselves feel superior to you. My mom always was bragging abput her being "sporty" and "eating natural foods" and "taking natural medicine and supplements", when in reality she was always borderline obese, took fricking expensive magic/miracle/moronic remedies and stuffed her fricking face with candy and sodas while she watched TV all day after work. Me getting slightly fit was enough for her to shut the frick up about her lies and it humbled her a bit. Never trust a woman, not even your own mom.
