Signs of aging starting to show at 30

I notice that my forehead skin isn't as tight and some other parts of my face.I look at people in their early 20s and younger and the difference is night and day. I'm not talking about wrinkles, I'm talking about loss of tightness. I don't drink, smoke, or go outside. There's nothing I can do about it besides surgery from what I'm reading. Should I get a facelift?

Skin tightness is due to elastin which you are born with. It depletes with age. It depletes faster due to things like damage from the sun. You have to start protecting your skin asap (but you won't be tan and you might not get enough vitamin d). Your face starts sagging over time due to gravity constantly pulling down on it.
Also collagen production starts declining after 20.

I dont wear sunscreen unless I go out, I set up my room in a way that theres barely any sunlight that comes in my room. I should have been more dilligent with sunscreen though despite being a basement dweller. It's over.

You could do botox to delay wrinkling and reduce lines but thats kinda gay and it might lead to you doing more procedures and getting bogged. Also, i don't think women care too much about that.
You can get filler around the eyes but its somewhat risky under thr eye

The movie was from 1998 so yeah, like 34-35. If you're worried about your face sagging, particularly your eyes, remember to mew. You can try facial massages to increase blood flow to the face and exercises to tighten the eyes (just look them up on youtube). I'd also recommend not looking at screens at least an hour before bed and get some bare sunlight onto your skin and in your eyes early in the morning to set your circadian rhythm right.

                Anonymous

Great tips, I started mewing 7 years ago and noticed a difference for sure. I have to do all those things mentioned in the latter half though. I pretty much sleep through the whole day unless I have an appointment so I have to fix my sleep schedule. Do you put on sunscreen before getting sunlight in the morning if only for a brief moment? Also what sunscreen do you use, they all feel like shit to me.

                Anonymous

I don't use sunscreen at all. I'm white but I tan instead of burn so as long as you've built up a tan you should be decently resilient. The positive health aspects of sunlight outweigh the possibly increased aging, plus you aren't spreading toxic shit all over your skin. But yeah sleep schedule and good sleep hygiene are definitely a must. How you sleep can 100% bump you up or drop you a couple points. In addition to limiting screen time before bed I'd also limit porn use and try to not spend your free time in front of a screen. For instance I've been practicing not watching Youtube while eating or brushing my teeth. Also positive thoughts do wonders. Stay away from places that instantly put you in a bad mood e.g. pol, political news/spheres on youtube, instagram, tiktok etc. Also maybe squintmax like my boy Brosnan here. He's 42 in this pic. Aging gracefully is definitely doable.

Mewing is cope over 25. It doesn't bring back fat.

Mewing definitely helps prevent your face sagging better than not mewing. Your bones are malleable for your whole life. You should be practicing proper tongue posture and breathing anyway.

After reading those tips, I'm convinced the stress from being in a bad mood fricked my sleep. I was at the worst point in my life from 23-27 so it did a number on me. I can't really quit screens because my life revolves around it because no friends,gf,family. Can you elaborate more on good hygiene besides moisturize and cleanse? I lift but do you think cardio can help with aging too? The dude looks good but I bet he looked even better when he was in his 20s. There are clear signs of aging though, you can see the laughlines and sagging of the cheeks coming in.

                Anonymous

What goes on in your mind does reflect in your appearance, so yeah avoiding stress and not looking at bad news and avoiding negative people is great. If you haven't looked into stoicism, I'd do that. Marcus Aurelius' notes in the book Meditations did me wonders and helped me stop being a worry wart. Basically stoicism allows you to mentally deal with the absurdity and unfairness of life. For hygiene I don't have an advanced skincare routine. Mostly splash my face with water in the morning. An occasional clay mask to get rid of the sebaceous filaments on my nose. Sometimes use a cleanser with salicylic acid. I moisturize skin with aloe vera gel. Moisturize lips with petroleum jelly (shouldn't do this, use beef tallow or something natural). The best skincare is to avoid shit foods. I don't eat fast food, cook my meals (lots of easy recipes involving eggs, pasta, rice, beef, chicken, salmon), avoid seed oils such as canola oil, crisco, literal industrial lubricants used in food. I cook my food with olive oil or butter. Avoid candy.
                >I bet he looked even better when he was in his 20s
He grew into his looks. Here he is in his early 20s I believe. He peaked in his 30s-early 40s. Some guys look better as their face masculinizes with age. That's why I'm not too worried about some wrinkles or whatever. They can help you look more manly.

                >use beef tallow
I meant tallow balm, sorry lmao. Also on exercising yeah cardio is great but I wouldn't overdo it. I've heard not to do more than 30 minutes in a row if you're running regularly but I don't know enough about that. There are some oldass marathon runners that are still in great shape.

                False
                >The positive health aspects of sunlight outweigh the possibly increased aging
There are none except for vitamin D which you can supplement
                >plus you aren't spreading toxic shit all over your skin.
False again, sunscreen has never showed to be toxic and there are sunscreens (mineral) that don't get absorbed into your skin.
But the best is a chemical sunscreen with bemotrizinol, it's safe and gives the best protection

You know a tan is just a sign of skin damage right? The cells get damaged and tries to protect themselves. You only get sunburned if your cells die, but the damage is done nonetheless

He's correct, though.Sunscreen is full of benzene and other nasty chemical shit, and sun exposure is incredibly good for you not only for vitamin d. The bad cancers come from burning, not from tanning. Spend plenty of time outdoors starting in the winter or spring before the light is as harsh and you can easily build up a nice, natural tan without burning.

                No he isn't.
                >Sunscreen is full of benzene and other nasty chemical shit
If you're afraid of chemical sunscreens you can buy mineral ones that don't penetrate the skin, but the chemical ones have not shown to have any effect on humans in any of the studies and are safe to use.
                >sun exposure is incredibly good for you not only for vitamin d.
No it's not, tell me the benefits you talk about.
                >The bad cancers come from burning, not from tanning.
The cancer is caused by cell damage, a tan is a result of cell damage and cells trying to protect themselves. A burn is caused by DEAD cells.
                >Spend plenty of time outdoors starting in the winter or spring before the light is as harsh and you can easily build up a nice, natural tan without burning.
Again, a tan is caused by cell damage, cancer is caused by cell damage, a tan increases your likelihood of cancer. Else a tanning bed would be safe because you're not getting burnt but they are not.

btw, they've found the chemicals in sunscreen in people's brain matter. It's a series of recent findings that haven't been well explored, but I would only suggest using sunscreen if you're going to be fully exposed for more than 20 minutes at a time. There's weird heavy metals in sunscreen and you absorb that shit into your brain? Who know what that does nothing good I'm sure. Wear a hat and age gracefully women don't care about a couple wrinkles if you're fit and have charisma.

There must be some genetic component to skin. I'm not saying the skin in your 30s is the same as an 18 year old of course but I've seen 35s looking like 50 year olds and others looking about 25-30

Exercise, eat well, moisturize. You can't escape aging, so don't worry too much.

Also, you are a man (probably). Age and skin arent that important for you anyway.

If you're a man it literally doesn't matter. Keep in shape and any signs of aging will just make you seem rugged and grizzled, which is cool. Maybe grow a short beard if you don't have one already.

Balding is a death sentence for male attractiveness to young women. Other things like having some laugh lines don't really matter and even make you a little bit handsome, especially if you have a decent beard.

The lack of tightness can be caused by a lack of cologen, don't just take a collogen supplement but instead book a microneedling treatment. It's legit and has many uses for improving skin, like filling in acne scars and such. Very good stuff, I've gone through legit studies that show it works. Don't do it yourself.

      PRP or just regular stuff?

      Anonymous

microneedling is the dumbest fad that has even been invented by the beauty industry, the only thing it does is damage the skin further and you will not see an increase in collagen because the collagen in scar tissue and regular tissue differs. You do not want to do microneedling if you care about your skin, it will only age you.
Remember that cell damage = aging

The precursors to collagen; proline and glycine, as well as hydroxyproline, are best found in animal foods. Just eat a sensible diet high in animal foods, avoid inlammatory modern foods or unnatural levels of UV or radiation exposure and your skin will be great. There's no need to smother garbage over your skin or avoid the sun.

The rapid ageing of people who avoid animal foods should be used as a lesson.

I'm 30 and I started microneedling my face 1-2 times a week a few months ago and I see a huge difference in skin health and my faint wrinkles around my eyes have faded substantially, my skin is alot clearer too and I just look better.

I've also been putting sunscreen with vitamin C and moisturiser built into it on every day, but that won't have an effect for years to come.

    Something to think about.

      Anonymous

How tf do you do it 1-2 times a week? What depth? I tried microneedling my hairline a while ago 1mm and it'd just leave my whole hairline red for days. Can't imagine my whole face like that.

        Anonymous

I use 0.5 mm as recommended, 1mm would be way too big for face skin

38 yo boomer here, old enough where I may have experience for this, old enough also that I must be somehow moronic or fricked up to still be posting here, you decide.

So you're 30 and complaining your face isn't the same as at early 20s. It will never be the same as at 20. I know sometimes it seems like people don't age much, but if you can get a good look at them up close, an experienced person can easily tell someone within a few years. Screens are pretty useless for showing real aging. Using screens and makeup and fillers even Madonna today can seem to look in her 20s. Same if you're looking into a mirror but the light isn't so good. What you need is to be in full view of a person with good lighting, and then it's not hard to say who is older and younger. None of these "I'm 32 but look about 22" guys would look the same as other students in an undergraduate college class. Think about Byran Johnson, you can tell that's he's exactly his age. It's just plain as day. Again, anything captured on a screen is junk for anything other than basic structure - sometimes it looks a lot better, sometimes it looks worse.

Staying out of the sun probably helps, but if you look at the average old people who've been in the sun vs those who haven't, the old people who've been in the sun don't actually look much worse if at all. Yes their skin is more pigmented, that's how all the aging tests come up saying omg they aged so much. But you look at them as in pic-related, and both of these women look bad, the woman in the sunshine doesn't really look worse, she just looks like she got a lot of sun.

So most of all I recommend not to have anxiety over it and expect your skin to age.
