Singing as replacement of cardio.

My singer friend claims that singing can do similar workout to your cardiovascular system than cardio.

What does IST thinks about this claim?

No need for hate, I just want to know if I can do singing exercises instead of jogging or other shit, because honestly, jogging and steady cardio is just boring to me.
So I want to know if It improves your lung health.

I can do some isometric lifting to improve my heart and do singing exercises to keep my V02 max levels also in good shape.

>but cardio is better
doesnt matter because I dont do cardio, is too boring for me.

Seems there's a non placebo effect from singing.
Which makes sense, since singing is basically some activity where the lungs have to basically put effort.

There's not even search results of lifting while singing.
Maybe an interesting experiment to see if I start singing exercises while I get some dumbells and lift while singing.

      Should be interesting to try.

The lung is not the entire cardiovascular system. So no.

        What even is your hypothesis?

seems rucking has a cardiovascular effect, right?

So singing while doing some isometric lifting, similar to rucking...

not being able to provide a strong workout to your cardiovascular system?

          It's my hypothesis.

        From the first link
        > Yet, many studies conducted to date do not show statistically signifiant changes in lung function, such as Peak Flow, FEV1 or FVC. One recent meta-study concludes: "Singing for respiratory health remains promising but inconclusive at this stage"

So yeah, either it's nothing or it's inconsequential compared to actual cardio. Like yeah singing is probably better than sitting on the couch but it's not going to increase blood flow to the muscles on the same level as even taking a walk.

yeah, but wouldnt doing it while isometrically lifting do something?

there's not even studies on this.
So all I can do is theoryfag.

            >do something
            compared to what?
In what case would I prefer isometrically lifting while singing to typical cardio or lifting?
I don't understand your hypothesis, are you trying to say rucking provides good cardio and lifting gains and singing while isometrically lifting does the same?

              No retard.

Doing singing exercises while having some weight vest and just standing there.

Should be like static rucking, but you do singing workout.

Don't bother theoryfagging. You're a literal retard. The cardio from rucking is the walking part.

But you wouldn't get similar results, because you're doing an entirely different thing.

There's not point in trying to proclaim it does or does nothing.

                Because there's not studies.

But I honestly think singing while standing and having a weight vest, should do something.

Maybe not as good as you may want, but clearly wouldn't do nothing.

yes, that something being fucking up your vocal cords due to bad technique and poor breathing in general

No, the links I showed you show there's a non placebo effect.

                It does something.

Now the question is if singing while rucking can provide aerobic workout.

Anyone replying honestly to this shit is retarded

but what if I am right and is not a stupid idea?

                please see

No but you should sing anyway because it's fun and relaxing
                t. singer

it's relaxing because you need to have an incredible muscle/mind connection, tensing the right muscles the right way, adding a weighted vest would hinder this process a great deal, potentially resulting in you getting hurt.

Again, I think you should learn to sing because it's great and it can even make you want to do more cardio to improve your breath and so on. Anyway no harm in trying what you want to do but if you feel any vocal discomfort just take some days to rest. Stay safe bruh

What reason would there be to believe it does anything? Maybe guzzling chud cum daily would give you fantastic gains, there aren't studies on that either so maybe you should try it?

why are you using you personal sexual fantasy over an idea that honestly, I dont see why It shouldnt work.

Does improve cardio resistance and condition
                >Singing
Has non placebo effect on lungs
                >Isometric lifting
                Increases heart rate.

So It's pretty clear mixing the 3 should provide those 3 effects, right?

because why the fuck it wouldn't?

no, you can't prove it does nothing simply because there's not studies.

We don't need studies because we already have studies on the individual effects of rucking (walking with load) and singing. And therefore we can surmise the combined effects.

I trained in singing Opera. You can expand your lung capacity and power because you're working your diaphragm and training your body for less active oxygen. But this does not replace real cardio or lifting, why do you think so many opera singers are fat fucks?

Rock singers are skinny. Clearly head voice belting is better cardio than full or mixed opera fatting
