      Hypermobility is a diagnosis and people need to go through surgery to fix it. It has a shit ton of disadvantages. Yes even people with long femur can do squats ass to grass if their ankle mobility allows that. But having your tibia parallel to the floor is just moronic and put insabe load on your kneews. Several times higher than in case of midgets with short femurs.

      OP has lifted for 3 months isn't aware of the existence of weightlifting shoes.
      Having your feet sloped either from wearing weightlifting shoes or elevating them with that gay little ramp makes it easier reach depth, it also creates more bias towards your quads.

        Nothing wrong with doing 1RMs. I failed a squat the other day but I had the safeties in the right position so I could just let the bar go, then I reset the bar and weight and hit the squat later. lesson is just use the safeties right.
