How much do you sleep when you don't set an alarm anon? Some people naturally require less sleep, but 5h is supiciously low.

I'll wake up to pee 4 hours from when I fell asleep

Don't drink too much water, or none at all, right before going to bed and you won't get up to pee.

nta but after your hit 30 it's basically inevitable that you'll have to piss sometime during the night

When you sleep for 5 hours, but slept for 8 hours in the previous night, you're still heaping the benefits of that 8 hour night of sleep, but at a debt.
When you sleep for 8 hours, but only slept for 5 hours in the previous night, you experience sleep deprivation, or sleep debt, because you have 3 hour sleep debt.

The concept of time is irrelevant, sleep for as long as your body wants to sleep and when it's ready to rise you should just get up and not force yourself to sleep.

honestly this. for years i would wake up naturally after like 6 hours and then try to force myself back to sleep to pick up the remaining 2 hours. but i never get restful sleep during that second run and end up feeling more tired than if i had just gotten up after the 6.

I heard stories similar to yours all the time meanwhile to me my sleep should be the norm?
    For me its
    >The longer I sleep the more rested I feel
    >More hours = Feel more rested,more energy
8 hours is fine but 9 hours is god tier and I cant even sleep 10 hours but when I ve gotten 9hours+ OMG

I feel dead with anything less than 7 hours tho and 7 hours feel pretty bad already, life starts at 7h30min approx hours for me

Less than 7 hours == day is ruined

For me it's 6. I do get 8-9 hours of sleep on the regular. 7 is still acceptable. But if I get only 6 I cannot work at all. Sometimes I just call in sick.

What’s it like being such a weak pussy? You probably don’t even go to the gym if you feel the slightest bit tired.

i sleep 7 hours. anything more or less, i feel tired and not energized.
I guess it depends on the quiality of your sleep.
for example, why can older people survive on less 7 hours of sleep?

After 8 hours you run out of glycogen.

The body produces cortisol when you have sleep deprivation. When this is at a minor level you will actually feel more alert. Then when you are finally getting enough sleep your body is relaxing and trying to heal so you feel how tired you really are. Long-term 8 hours will feel more rested than long-term 5 hours, but for a big event it might actually be better to sleep less the day before.

i get a pretty random spread of 0-14 hours of sleep at any time of day due to my work
i keep trying to figure out why i feel so rested some mornings and not others but I have noticed that after 15ish hours of being awake i always feel better the more sleep i got the night before so this anon

      is probably right

that dude is worth about 5 female nurses

true enough. if you or a loved one are in hospital, ask for a male nurse. I’d say odds of getting a bad male nurse are 1/5. Female odds are more like 1/2

Best part of being a male nurse is you actually rarely have to wipe ass, because the female nurses will just want you to do the lifting. They'll do the actual wiping while they mire the way you manhandle that hambeast.

    >get home from work nap for 4 hours
    >cant sleep when im supposed to
    >get <2hrs sleep before work
    >work 8hr shift followed by nap for 4 hours
    >go to gym workout
    >cant sleep when im supposed to
    > get <2hrs sleep before work

Is this shit sustainable??? Seems like I havent conked out yet and still able to lift alright, its been about a week.
