i seriously cant tell if you guys on IST are trolling 24/7 or if you guys are legit moronic
Yes, one of maybe 2-3 valid supplements that's dirt cheap is a "waste of money", right?
NGMI.
And, for OP, unless you have gutter-tier genetics, you won't have any hair loss. Been taking creatine off and on for almost 30 years, and I still have all my hair because I come from good stock.
there's one study that showed creatine increasing DHT
the effect the study showed was large, but not absurd, like you'd get from steroid usage. iirc something like 40% increase in DHT.
assuming that study is actually correct and it wasn't a fluke, then creatine should accelerate hairloss for those already prone to it
however its important to note a couple things
1) this is the only study that has showed this effect
2) but also, no other study has disproved it either (aka no other study looks at DHT levels)
3) if you're prone to balding and want to keep your hair, the way to do that is to hop on fin(or dut and optionally min). avoiding creatine will avoid the effect accelerating, but you're still going to go bald. just a tad slower.
You should add a 4th bullet point. Your dht levels decrease just from lifting as well. Not sure if the individuals in the study were untrained and just has large spikes of dht from lifting or they started lifting heavier cause they hopped on creatine.

these are the same thing

What the frick are you talking about? Creatine will likely make your squat go from 135 to 140lbs, yes, at the expense of your hairline. Meanwhile a good routine and diet can allow you to squat 405lbs

you said you can improve your athletic performance without creatine. my point is that that magnitude of improvement matters.
studies have shown over and again that your performance increase from diet + exercise + creatine will be larger than your performance increase from diet + exercise alone.
but you knew that and you’re just trolling so… maybe have a nice day?

Creatine isn’t going to make your squat go up 360 pounds you fricking moron. But it will make your hair fall off your head in droves

over the same time period:
diet + exercise
squat goes from 135 to 225
diet + exercise + creatine
squat goes from 135 to 245
creative is additive. if your IQ is over 30, you understand this

If balding is in your genetics it speeds it up, otherwise you're fine. If you notice hair loss just get off it

You know what else is a waste of money? A gym membership. You literally don't need to go to the gym to live a long full life
Yes it does.

right, yes, that too
iirc the study used trained individuals, but yes, just starting to lift will increase DHT levels.
For me it doesn’t cause hair loss but my hair definitely looks different while on it. It’s a lot more starchy
>spend $50 just to gain a bunch of water weight and risk losing your hair
Yea I’ll pass
creatine does A LOT more than that
But water weight and hair loss are the primary effects of creative
The primary effect of creatine is improved athletic performance.
It has been proven across more RCTs than pretty much any other supplement.
I have improved athletic performance via excercise and diet AND I don’t have to put chemically processed hair loss powder into my body to get it

BRO I just bought this shit and I didn't research ;-;
Am I better off giving it away/throwing it away?!
Unrelated but does this cause hair loss in women?
