Why the frick would you want to chemically castrate your whole body with finasteride, when there are safe, permanent, scientifically proven and almost free methods of reversing hairloss. ಠ_ಠ

Most of these finasteride trolls don't even know the real reasons behind hairloss and never studied how to actually reverse it:

Never forget that internet is full of evil, stupid and miserable people.

They don't want to be the only idiots who have damaged or will eventually damage themselves permanently with these drugs, and rather spread the misery forwards.
The only enjoyment of these finasteride trolls is to trick other people to take finasteride, drink castrol oil or get people to microwave their phones/batteries. I hope no one falls into this shit just because its easy to troll people on internet and create false sence of social proof and manipulate beliefs/feelings of certainty in these closed echo chambers of ideas.

Its probably usually the same guy that used to always come to the dermarolling threads to recommmend everyone to drink castrol oil, instead of applying it into your hair with diluted peppermint/rosemary oil as a proven and better minoxidil replacement. How bad must his life suck, if the only enjoyment he gets is to hurt others.

(Fun fact: Mussolini used to spike his political opponents drinks with castrol oil and watch them shit themselves in public gatherings.) (ಥ﹏ಥ)

You have to buy finasteride/minoxidil for the rest of your life or you will loose your gains in two weeks. So eventually you will get unreversable heart palpatations, heart disease, impotence, dizzyness, vertigo, gynecomastia and suicidal thoughts. That happens when you chemically castrate your whole body for 40 years and become trans to cure your hairloss.

Thank God I never fell into that meme and instead used dermarolling, scalp massage, nizoral shampoo and castor oil/peppermint oil/rosemary oil mixure and lifestyle changes, that are just as effective as fin and minoxidil, because it tackles and targets the real reasons behind hairloss. Now at 32 I have better hair than in my unhealthy 20's. The process takes couple of years and while you can use dermmatch/toppik hair fibers to look Norwood 1/2 even before you start the process. Go see the hairlosstalk forum mega success thread about how tens of thousands people around the world are actually reversing their hairloss safely, naturally and without any side effects, by actually studying this stuff and sharing their results.

I usually never post here, but these finasteride posts should be auto-banned by the moderators.

Why would you not recommend meditation, cold showers, clean eating excercise, social life, goal setting and healthy sleep patterns to people who are destroying their health and life quality with gaming addiction, junkfood and SSRIs to balance their serotonin levels?

Just because mainstream media, pharma companies and some trolls on internet recommends to poison your whole body for the rest of your life, there are still better long term solutions out there. Whats really the smart long term option? Its almoast impossible to take finasteride a for even a decade. The negative effects compound just like junk food and eventually catch up. And some of those are irreversible. With finasteride you either go bald in 2 weeks after quitting or eventually deal with the worsening side effects every single day. Lose-lose situation and thus waste of time.

There are hundreds of thousands of people who have fixed their hairloss without any side effects, just like there are as many people who have fixed their mental health without becoming subscriber to SSRIs. That hairlosstalk forum mega thread is a gamechanger for dudes in their 30s.

Finasteride kills the DHT levels of your whole body just to deal with DHT levels on your scalp. Senceless overkill to fix a more nuanced problem behind hairloss. You can also reverse hairloss by tackling the real individual reasons behind hairloss: scalp tension, inflamation, oxygen, dht, scar tissue, fibrosis, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep.. Its basicly shotgun method vs scalpel method. moronic short term gains vs smart and targeted long term results. Kinda sad that most people are so conditioned to stay unconscious, avoid thinking/high level problem solving and just rather eat some pills that some trolls or pharma industry recommends.

Well. My wife is a hair loss treatment specialist at a top clinic in Japan (won't name, but I've helped out there a fair bit with their international stuff) and from her experience, the best responses come from Finasteride and Minoxidil. Yes they offer special shampoos, massages and a bit of what you described and for some people that works. I will not deny that. But the people who do benefit from thinks like massage and "natural" remedies are usually those who are suffering from things that aren't male pattern baldness.
You mentioned increasingly worsening side effects from Finasteride and that simply doesn't seem to be the case. Nothing to back that up, but it's not true.
I think you're right, there are hundreds of thousands of people who fixed their hair through your suggestions. But there are MILLIONS who have saved theirs through fin and catastrophizing the side effects of fin to push your agenda is disingenuous when time is a factor in saving hair before it's all gone.

To be clear: I am happy for everyone that can keep taking finasteride even for 20 year without any side effects.

But after reseaching and being interested in topic for decades after reversing my own hairloss, that finasteride road seems to be a 1 in a 1000 shot for most people as a side effect free long term solution for hairloss. Although it can give a short term feeling of relief for anxiety about our status and appereance. But that social pressure can also create very twisted and harmful rationalizations and cognitive dissonance about their magic pill that promises to cure baldness and take away stress for free without any side effects. But I guess its always good to keep an open mind, do your own research and test this stuff for yourself.

After my own journey of seeing what I have done, what my friends who have tried this out have gotten and how good results people on internet have also having, I am 100% convinced that finasteride is unnecessary for most of people to reverse their hairloss no matter what the underlying cause is. Some people can even fix their hairloss just by fixing their hormonal/endocrine issues, but are curtently taking finasteride or even natural remedies instead.

The process takes discipline and dedication, but is so worth it.

My last reasonable hope is cutting out all goyslop (breads, grains, beans, vegetable oils, most sugar) and just eating meat, cheese, butter, fruits, and a small amount of veggies. Just stick with minoxidil. The risks of messing with sex hormone physiology isn't worth a bit of extra hair.

If you're undeterred and insist on taking finasteride, stick with minimal alternating day dosing i.e. take 0.5-1mg every other or every third day. It wont have as much efficacy as 1mg everyday but it'll decrease the probability of longterm side effects.

It quite literally is. I would rather not be treated as subhuman by everyone I encounter (which is what occurs when you're bald, especially if you're already genetically disadvantaged in other ways) than have a functioning dick. Not that finasteride sides are actually real but even if they were it would still be worth taking, especially since drugs like viagra and cialis exist.

People don't really understand how much being bald fricks your life up. I have no bald friends. I literally cannot see past someone's baldness. I can't hang out on the weekend with a bald person. We do not live in the same world, the same time and place. Does this make me a bad person? Yes. Does this make an unusual person? No not really.
When someone goes bald, the person they were before they went bald is dead. What's left is an empty background character.
        It's a terrifying reality.

Yeah. I went in all gung-ho after getting desperate from the sudden rapid hair loss (and the false sense of confidence in the efficacy and "zero sides" promoted by these threads).

Well the efficacy is definitely there... But "zero sides" is just wishful thinking. Take it long enough and they will rear their ugly heads. Just go look at the scientific studies. They have no reason to fabricate the side effects.

I think most people (me included) see its effectiveness in halting balding and just want to keep it going so they just get into a denial state about the side effects that are happening. I used to be like that too... The sides were bearable, until they were not. I don't have dick problems from it but this shit made me fricking moronic and I'm a walking zombie on most days (brain-fog, poor memory, chronic fatigue).

This shit doesn't just crash your DHT. It messes with the production of neurosteriods for normal functioning of your brain. It's fricking tragic.

I'm not ok which is why I'm trying to stop for 2 months to see if it's really the culprit. I've been taking it for close to 2 years and the sides got really bad in the recent months. If I really feel better coming off it at the end of the 2 months then I'll seriously have to re-consider whether it's worth it.

    I used finastride
I didn't notice my hair regrow at all but I also didn't notice any further loss. When I stopped taking it I ended up having aggressive hair loss.

As far as side effects, it completely gutted my sex drive. I was pretty much asexual and sterile. I had heard from channels like Haircafe and shit that DHT was useless and direct Testostrone was responsible for sex drive, meaning that DHT inhibitors like finasteride won't affect it. In my personal experience, unfortunately, this wasn't true at all. This is the main reason why I decided to screw it and stop taking it. I just kept using topical minox and I hadn't seen any side effects from that.

I have no clue if it affected muscle building or anything like that. I didn't notice anything there. I also didn't feel tired or anything.

Topical Minox worked somewhat, with no side effects.
If you prioritize keeping/regrowing hair over libido, then go ahead and use finastride. Apparently some people don't even lose their libido if they are telling the truth, but at least in my case I did. Even when I was taking it, it wasn't terribly effective but it could be a totally different story for you.

        Sorry for the late reply.

I was taking it for a few weeks I think, but I noticed the drop in libido pretty much immediately (like the 2nd or 3rd day taking it). I was gonna stick it out if the hair gains were huge but they really weren't and it only slightly slowed the hair loss.

I was on fin for three years out of an abundance of caution. I don't take it now because I probably never needed it in the first place.
I experienced 0 side effects. I guess I had the watery semen, but then again, it's sometimes like that when I'm not on fin anyway.
I imagine my experience is the vast majority of people's experience in the sense you won't notice anything.
I get there are a lot of people online who claim fin did X y or z to them, but they represent a vast minority. What even is brain fog? Anything abnormal that happens to you while on fin is not guaranteed to be caused by fin and on the off chance you do experience some side effects, you can just stop taking it.
Ironically I'm thinking about getting back on fin these days because my temples are starting looking thin under LED lights.
31 years old by the way, father is bald. I've outlasted my father's hair by 6 years so far and I don't intend to lose it now.

Been on fin about 5 months, 1 mg daily or 1 every two days sometimes if I forget. Haven’t noticed much in the hair department or anything else tbh. Dicks the same, libido feels the same but tfw no gf so I don’t know for sure. I think majority of libido is mental and since I can get erections still I’m assuming there’s no effect. Perma sides are pretty rare so I think you’re probably ok trying it out and seeing how you react.

Been taking a quarter of a pill daily for the last 5 years.
    Cons:
    Get morning wood less often
    Have wet dreams less often
Don't get horny quite as often (still jack off multiple times a week but that's normal for a 27 year old anyway)
    Pros:
    Stopped me from balding
Along with minox, I've regrown my hair drastically
Massively reduced shedding (used to wake up with heaps of hair on my pillow). Practically zero shedding now.

Overall I've had pretty much negligible sides...so far...I still get morning wood and have wet dreams and stuff, but less often like I said. Can't tell you whether it's impacted my lifts, since I started taking fin before I started lifting. I'm pretty sure I would've made very similar progress anyway even if I never started fin.

You should lower your dose. I used to be on 1.25mg a day but I'm now on 1mg 2x a week and it works just as well for hair loss (no shedding) but the sexual sides are much less noticeable. Been on fin for almost 5 years as well.

Does fin really cause some kind of impotence/sex drive loss? My friend takes fin and I've been trying to give him alternatives, but if it's going to frick up his sex life then I kind of want to let him so that I can bang his wife when he can't.

I've read thousands of comments on IST, Youtube, reddit and hair loss forums to do with finasteride. Based on this data more than 50% of men get sides. If you trust the studies done by Merck you're a fool.

You are all so moronic it’s not even funny. The side effects were 3-4% in official studies. It was shown that if doctors would tell patients beforehand that fin could cause sexual side effects, they had it drastically more often as if it wasn’t told them (nocebo). Also, the whole neurosteroid thing is based on rodent studies where finasteride blocks both enzymes of 5ar. In humans, the Enzyme which is responsible for neurosteroids (I think it was type 1) isn’t blocked by finasteride at all. Most people get side effects because they have shitty hormone profiles. When you have high bodyfat or low testosterone, then you are more prone to side effects because fin increase estrogen and reduces anti estrogenic dht

If it’s any consolation, I fricked a ladyboy in Thailand 2 weeks ago and she asked what my finasteride was.

I said, “I thought ladyboy take”. She said no, never heard of it. I told her it keeps your hair and prevents balding and she was surprised and took a picture of it.

That one in particular we fricked each other in the ass and I sucked her dick and swallowed her cum

Last night I got another one who was as hot but she couldn’t really get hard and didn’t like to be played with as much. She was much more submissive and after sucking on her breasts and a bit of foreplay and a great blowjob I fricked her roughly for about 15 min and then took the condom off and busted on her chest

anyone on MTF hormones is already doing waay more than fin could ever. i think there was a chap on the hairloss forum (i forget the name) who was on spiro, which which literally give you breasts, in an effort to regrow his hair.

I have been taking finasteride since I was 19, I am 24 now. I started balding on my temples early on, zero balding on the crown. It completely stopped the balding, zero side effects.

My dermatologist prescribed me 1 pill per day at first, then 3 pills per week and 2 pills per week now.

I was extremely worried when I started balding, it was all I could think of, now I never even think about it because it’s not a problem.
