So, keto and CICO haven't worked for me. I'm thinking of adopting fruitarianism to lose body fat and gain all the benefits of Vitamin C. Has anyone here tried it, and any tips for success?

      If you're severely overweight, eating a vegan or fruitarian diet could be a good short-term solution, simply because your body would enter fasting mode. But do not stay on it longer than like a month or two or you'll develop nutrient deficiencies. I say this as someone who went vegan for several years, felt great for the first few months, and then started wasting away and almost lost my mind. I was always pretty thin though, so I've never used a vegan diet specifically to shed excess pounds.

    How long did you try them for, and how strict were you with it? I lost 80 pounds on keto, but you have to actually keep track of your macros, just like any other diet, and be strict. If you never made it to being fat adapted which can take like up to 2 months, then you didn't really give it a shot.

      Keto, I made my own fried chicken and made my own double downs with chicken, bacon and cheese, but just gained weight.
      CICO, I cut to 1750 cals a day for 6 months but didn't lose a single pound.

        It doesn't sound like you tracked anything on keto at least, so you didn't really do it at all. Also if you weren't losing weight in the first 2-3 weeks at 1750 calories on CICO, why did you keep eating the same amount of calories for 6 months instead of dropping the calories? None of what you're saying makes any sense. No diet is immune to calories in vs calories out dude. It's the same no matter what diet you're on. If you're not losing weight, adjust your calories whether that be eating less, or burning more. You have to track your macros, its that simple. There are so many apps out there now to track, its easy as frick.

So I looked up why and it turns out that alcoholics have different ways of metabolizing alcohol than regular people. However if you read into the story alcohol doesn’t metabolize like regular food does. So many alcoholics tend to be skinny despite getting 1k-2k alcohol calories. Then there are sneed oils which are not digestible to humans so they don’t run in the old Cico strategy either. I mean a gasoline engine can’t use diesel right? Cico is easily disproven again and again but absolute morons cling to it because morons lack critical thinking skills and this it is the idea of morons that Cico is everything.

    Buy a cheap food scale off amazon. Download cronometer, or myfitnesspal on your phone. Start weighing your food, and tracking your calories. CICO didn't fail you anon, you never even tried it.

    Fruititarian is dumb. I've been doing salad, eggs and plant based protein in a 1-2 hour eating window daily. Three weeks and I'm down 15lbs. Cico obviously works so pay attention to olive oil calories, croutons and other junk and also you need to burn calories so work out.

        You can't explain it to those morons, they don't have the mental capacity to understand. The human body is not a bomb calorimeter, it oxidises ATP to create motive force, with heat energy being a by-product, waste basically. It can't oxidise ALL the substances we consume, not even most of them. And that's exactly what a bomb calorimeter does, it flash burns everything you put into it and outputs a chemical energy estimate. Give it wood, it gives out heat energy. Give a human wood, the human gets exactly 0 energy or mass from it.

                Now, fibre is also in that group. It is completely undigestible. Cellulose, undigestible. They are metabolically the same as uranium.       Midwits talking about the law of thermodynamics crack me up. This is the Wikipedia definition of the First Law:

      In a process without transfer of matter, the change in internal energy of a thermodynamic system is equal to the energy gained as heat, less the thermodynamic work, done by the system on its surroundings.

      The first sentence already means that the First Law does not apply to living organisms. Biological processes are way to complex to simplify like that and for the model to retain ANY sort of accuracy. People seriously need to stop dunning krugering this shit, its embarrassing.

    Cico does absolutely work, i dropped from 97kg to 83 in a 4-5 months
    You just didnt count your food properly or you wasnt in a deficit, you need to religiously count every fricking ingredient that goes into your body, every drop of oil, bread, everything, ypu cant "estimate" nothing. Also drop unhealthy foods completely and stop consuming added sugar.
