The reason those rumors exist is because people start taking fin at the average age that impotence occurs. If you take care of yourself at all you're fine. If your diet is mostly available at a gas station and your exercise is the walk from the pump into the store yeah you might have some shit to worry about. These symptoms are unheard of outside north America for a reason.
Been on it for 4 years, and only a year ago started lifting, stating that since I've heard some people say lifting weights takes away side effects. My hair is very good, have never had any side effects. For the first few weeks, I felt slight testicular tenderness and after that, no pain. Erections have been very good throughout, but my nuts are a little waterier.
Honestly, anon, I think you can psych yourself out a lot during sex just by worrying that you're not going to be able to perform because of a medication. Many transgenders can still maintain erections despite having female hormones. A lot of old people can. I don't think a 75% or whatever decrease in DHT, a hormone that is less important than testosterone in maintaining erections, which itself is increased when taking finasteride, will make it so you can't and don't wanna frick.
Likewise, I think finasteride has helped my libido. It + minoxidil have fixed my hairline to pre-hairloss (I hopped on it early) and my dad at my same age had lost a lot. I like looking young and it makes me feel more comfortable with myself sexually.
On 1mg a day btw, but I've gone on 0.5 when my Indian finasteride isn't coming fast enough.
