you are aware that you have a dumbbell on each side so the barbell equivalent would be 100lbs?

If you want to go heavy pendlay rows are great just really make sure to take the time to get the bracing down.

Do you use belt during Pendleys?

Yes but it should feel fine without them so don’t use it as a crutch.

like other wrote, chest support, or replace with a single arm row or wide grip pullup

If you have an incline bench, set it at 45' and lay your chest over it.

do them while supporting your chest on a bench, think like an incline seal row.
easy to load weight while form remains constant

Replace them with nothing. Rows of any kind are a completely useless exercise. The only exercises needed for your back are pull ups, reverse flys and any form of deadlift.

What about my good friend chin ups?

Supinated or neutral grip are superior. Pronated can be used for warm ups but I wouldn’t bother getting stronger with a pronated grip pull up

I used to do bent over rows but I just didn't click with them or liked the exercise that much.

I tried Meadow Rows and love them, feels way better.

Use a belt and brace to protect your back.

I do bench braced rows you kind of get in like horse stance posistion angle your back like a deadlift and just look ahead and row. Sure you have to do one side at a time but it's feels pretty clean. Like nothing is sore the way it isn't supposed to be and you can pretty much go as heavy as your arm can pull.
