Did it really? One of my knees has been temperamental for a year now after I somehow managed to frick it up doing heavy squats. It's not debilitating, but putting too much weight on it at once can cause some mild pain, and even holding my foot down on the throttle during long drives can irritate it.

Yeah, but knee problems can be quite individual. My issue is many old injuries on one side lead to imbalance, so one leg was coping for the other. Doing each side through a controlled range really helped balance things out, especially the small control and stabilising muscles that I particularly had a weakness in.

If your knees are too far gone, I can imagine these being detrimental though

yeah, they'd be easier if I had that padded thing instead of a bench and didn't use weights too.

Put one of those squat pad things on a bar low down in a rack and use that

apologies for the thirdie cope rant but it's amazing to me how neat little devices like that low height roller exist for such specific exercises, god I hate living in the land of the dyels

Are these easier on the knees than squats?

Moreso on the back than the knees. Bulgarians are great if you're trying to avoid any heavy spinal compression for whatever reason. They're great anyway, but if you have back issues Bulgarians are for you.

I prefer to do my BSS elevated. Got some nice cork yoga blocks, works great to raise my front foot and let me really get low and feel the stretch.

I did these with 76kg (barbell version) yesterday for 7 reps. What weights are we up to BSSbros?
