You can do leg press + RDLs + leg extensions + leg curls, twice a week. This way you can do higher reps without recking your joints and your squat and deadlift will go way up.
But you will have to use your hips on the leg press instead of doing ROM equal to your penile length.
Why would you have to use your hips more on a leg press when you can simply put your toes MUCH lower on the press plate and make it almost completely quad-dominant?
That's the focus of my 2nd leg session each week - my heels aren't even on the press plate, I cut the weight in half or more of what I can do with feet higher, and I do slow 10 second negatives until I bottom out just before my ass would come off the support pad. Quads get fried, hams and hips get pretty well no recruitment, and all is well.
Pair that shit with BSS and you'll be doing the fricking crip walk out of the gym at the end.
I mentioned leg press as the heavy quad exercise. Both leg press and hack squats are time efficient and energy efficient since they build the legs without recking your lower back, shoulders and elbows like the squat.
If you are a masochist who likes one legged work then be my guest, but most people really want to be in and out of the gym and leg press + leg extensions hit the quads sufficiently.
Why are people here still saying you'll wreck yourself squatting? Are you simply trying to hold people back from their true potential? Because there's no other reason to say it.
Sure, you CAN get big without squatting. But squats, while effective, are also fun to do when you develop a proficiency with them.
and wrecking shoulders and elbows? Holy shit, I've NEVER known anyone to wreck those from squatting, those are bench-related issues which then make it HARD to get in proper position squatting once they happen, but those are NOT remotely common for squat related injuries.
And again, if you LEARN to brace your core (which 99% of you do NOT know how to do properly), your odds of injuring your back even when going very heavy are slim to none.
Maybe, instead of demonizing things you're too lazy or weak to do, understand that your lack of proper knowledge of bracing is something you should have spent more time on and maybe you too could be squatting double bodyweight.

more hold people back from having herniated discs, which is the most likely outcome of stubbornly pushing yourself on squats

Yes, the images are right next to eachother for you to compare. Left has way more muscle. Ivan looks bad because he's skinnyfat. If he cut he would just be skinny.
In fairness Ivan is over 6', all the more reason why he should have done more hypetrophy focused stuff imo but it's his life and he found his niche, still looks dyel though and he knows it
He's been doing it daily for the last month, said he had fatigue in lower back and abs, remind me why sacrificing your form/health for an ego rep is a good thing?
what do you do if you go for a PR but you're actually weaker than your previous PR so you just can't even move the weight at all on the way up? you can't just duck and dump the weight. way easier and safer to just put the safeties 1 rung belowyour depth and just leave the bar there
You're smarter than most here, anon.
Every time I squat, the pins are about 2" below my parallel depth. Only about once every 2-3 years do I miss a squat, and they catch it perfectly as I just let myself sink down a bit lower to let it catch the weight so I can get out from under it.
Only ego lifter DYELs don't use safety equipment for being "too cool" to protect themselves.
"feeling it" doesn't work because 5kg in your performance you won't feel on the warmup sets but on your top set is the difference between a 1rm and a set of 2. as proof by the video even this autist who squats every day can't "feel it"

so? he's not afraid of missing. you were saying "what if he just gets absolutely crushed?" he didn't get crushed. he had a miss.

Why are his legs so damn close together and why go that low? I don't care what you all say I think this type of squatting is shit and is oddly enough another form of ego lifting. I think a lot of guys feel the need to over compensate on squats so they end up doing dumb shit like this when they really don't have to.

the problem with high bar
bar rolls on your neck if you fail

How fricking moronic. The spine was MADE to take stress, it's that morons who don't know how to brace their core and always try to max out for a new PR get their backs fricked while everyone else is fine.
You may as well say that knees aren't meant to take stress so you'd better get a wheelchair and stop walking and running so you can save your legs. You fricking mongoloid.
True, the spine was made to take on an extra 500lbs. The guy you replied to must be oblivious to the fact that all 600lb land whales have no health problems whatsoever and have perfectly functioning joints.
Yeah, that's TOTALLY what I said, mongoloid.
The spine was, in fact, MADE to be able to take stress and carry additional weight on the body. That is fact, if you try to imply it isn't, you should just leave the internet immediately and never come back. >a 600 lb. landwhale is the same as a guy who spent 10 years building his body up to take on massive weight, really, it's the exact same!
Did I quantify the level of stress? No. It becomes what your supporting system can handle. If you have a core that can handle stabilization of huge weight, then you can support it without spinal damage, period. If you don't, you can get fricked up. But implying that everyone who squats/deadlifts is "gonna get fricked up" is pure gayscience moronation with no evidence other than "That guy who squatted every day for years like a moron got hurt so that proves my homosexual theory" shit.

>squat every day for 4 years
>zero progress
that dumbass forgot your muscles grow when you REST not work out
Yeah but when he starts rest everyday his legs are going to blow up from the gains on hold
there will be no pants in the world for his quads....
"everyday" is an adjective; he means "every day".
"everyday" is an adjective; you mean "every day".

What is the best amount to squat per week? I've been doing twice a week except for once a week every month and I am noticing steady progress
twice a week regular squats plus some accessories like leg extensions or hack squats on non squat days is literally all you need for legs no cap

I'm convinced he just does this out of stubbornness and to not disappoint his youtube fans. dude can squat though
well I mean he does do it every day
i could squat every day for 1000 days too if i was doing pussy weak warm up weight. Imagine failing 200 pounds LOL
He failed 200 kg, not 200 lbs.
He failed 180kg after already doing 200kg that day
>squatting every day
as in the Bulgarian method? or just some variation or squats every day?
Does he just complain all the time? Or???
Fried CNS + tanked hormones from overtraining.
All he's doing is shortening his life span. He's objectively mentally ill.
Digits confirm
That's his thing

Left is not Ivan, moron. That's not a pump, that's actual muscle, which Ivan doesn't have because he only trains strength.

Yes, the images are right next to eachother for you to compare. Left has way more muscle. Ivan looks bad because he's skinnyfat. If he cut he would just be skinny.

Brutal blackpill: it's impossible to look good natty
You need to fraud with God tier lighting, god tier angle-frauding, and God tier pump.
No normal person would consider the left pic as "looking good". You have body dysmorphia, anon.
They would since David Laid has millions of followers moron.
he also has a gigantic hand with 8-9 fingers, so who's the moron now
You really think that there aren't millions of people with body dysmorphia?
>squats heavy every day for 4 years
>still looks like shit
The fate of all 5RMers.
The lower mogged the frick out of the top after he cut
This picture is absolute garbage
no he didn't
be quiet
>coping with potential mogings
Can I see it?
Is this how fatties cope? "If I were to cut I'd mog you, I just don't care to"?
Doubt
Yeah after he dropped his shitty program
Chest really is the most important muscle, literally all you need is a big chest and low bf% the rest is all optional
1x1
let's see what your body is closer to. is it the top or the bottom? post body
That picture is complete shit and obviously made by some brosplit cope lord
>still holds true
It's been all this jumping and deadlifting lately
He finally broke down, it was bound to happen sooner or later
It don't slap
What's the point of him doing all these 1-2 rep sets? He can barely be breaking down any muscle tissue at that rate right?
Ivan looks like a DYEL but he lifemoggs everyone
lmao he didnt even try to grind it out
He's been doing it daily for the last month, said he had fatigue in lower back and abs, remind me why sacrificing your form/health for an ego rep is a good thing?
>He's been doing it daily for the last month, said he had fatigue in lower back and abs
Damn, almost like it was a moronic idea from the getgo.
Every rep he does is an ego rep. He can’t admit how ridiculous squatting every day is
because he couldn't
Why doesnt he squat in the cage using safeties?
>caged sissy telling anyone how to squat
I'm laughing
what do you do if you go for a PR but you're actually weaker than your previous PR so you just can't even move the weight at all on the way up? you can't just duck and dump the weight. way easier and safer to just put the safeties 1 rung belowyour depth and just leave the bar there

so? he's not afraid of missing. you were saying "what if he just gets absolutely crushed?" he didn't get crushed. he had a miss.
He's moronic enough to squat every day for four years, so the logic follows that he's too moronic to do the exercise safely
Because dumping with bumpers on like that is both safe and less damaging on the bar that dumping on to safeties
if you can't get it up you can always control it on the way down again. controlling the negative is easy
he doesn't want to make noise and his rack is already bent from when he dropped it before
have a nice day ivan
slamming it on the ground makes exponentially more noise than controlling the negative down again to the safeties
>rubber/plastic on cloth makes more noise than metal on metal
i dropped 180kg bumpers from a zercher position once and it sounded like a fricking bomb. he's droping it from his neck. honestly how are you so moronic? this shit should be obvious i shouldn't have to explain it. controlling the negative is borderline soundless
I've never dropped a weight.
then shut tf up moron
he knows he to fail a highbar squat properly. safeties are for lowbar and morons.
Safeties are irrelevant if you have a room temp IQ
why are his feet so close together tho?
that's just how he squats. He used to play basketball, so I'm assuming he tries to squat in the same stance/footwidth as he would in a high jump.
Why are his legs so damn close together and why go that low? I don't care what you all say I think this type of squatting is shit and is oddly enough another form of ego lifting.
