Not OP but are leg curls a good alternative to RDLs? My routine has RDLs in them on leg day but my hams are either too tight or too weak to do full ROM even with a 20lb barbell. I've started doing ham stretches before every workout so hopefully in a month I'll be able to do them if flexibility is the issue
You will not get the same glute activation from leg curls that you will get from RDLs
as far as i know leg curls don't work your glutes at all

To an extent it will, but soon your body weight will not be enough intensity to build more muscle. At some point, you will have to squat/lunge/etc.
or OR you can do what I do and put some weight on yourself via a weightvest.
but yes you're right the main goal with the stairmaster should be endurance, not power.
