how much are you eating daily/weekly?
All of it.
Better be 100% grass fed grass finished beef liver. Otherwise you're eating shitty cows pumped with chemicals and onions
>onions
söy
Too much vitamin A. How much liver were you eating?
ive never seen a report of vitamin A poisoning that didnt involve supplementation
Beef liver is very high in vitamin A. Eating some liver twice a month will give you all the vitamin A you need. If you consistently ate more than your body can use then eventually you will get vitamin A poisoning. It was probably real mild and op was just going a little over the amount their body could process. Not enough to hospitalize them but enough to make them unwell.
i still have never seen a case report that didnt involve supplementation. shouldnt uptake be regulated as is the case with many other vitamins and minerals?
I never believe anything you people say. Not a single thing.
Goyim Cattle Slave
LMAO’ing at your worthless malnourished mind
>Not enough to hospitalize them but enough to make them unwell.
vegan reading comprehension
Happens constantly actually
then you should be able to easily post any single case report not involving supplements. last time i asked this nobody could
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/7189278/
>chicken liver homogenate
is this food or some supplement food thing
Nta but yes it's food. It just means they put it in on a blender basically.
Blended until homogenous. A smoothie, basically
>infants
>100g daily for months
yeah real relevant
Anon did you read the OP post correctly?
No. No I did not. I though he said he stopped eating liver.
Vitamin A toxicity is a hoax.
They took the case of someone who died from cadmium poisoning from eating polar bear liver and literally lied about the cause of death.
The vitamin A toxicity myth is the prime example of studies being used to push a political agenda (plant based diets).
STOP BEING AFRAID OF NUTRIENTS.
if you think plant based diets are so horrible then explain Clarence Kennedy
not even a vegan im just wondering what your response is
>not even a vegan im just
liar
>got giga-strength maxxed on beef and gomad
>lost all his hair, gains and complexion after turning vegone
checks out
>Vitamin A toxicity is a hoax.
Do you have a source explaining why?
>Vitamin A poisoning is a hoax
This post was made by a bear liver oil salesman.
This, vitamin A toxicity has only been reported from supplementing carotenoids.
https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/immunology-and-microbiology/polar-bear#:~:text=They%20noted%20that%20polar%20bear,on%20cadmium%2C%20not%20vitamin%20A
>They noted that polar bear livers adsorb very large amounts of the metal cadmium found in arctic waters. Among the symptoms of cadmium poisoning are dermatitis and skin defoliation. This hypothesis places the toxicity of polar bear liver on cadmium, not vitamin A.
OK now debunk the entire wikipedia article on vitamin A toxicity, plus Grant Genereux forums on vitamin A toxicity.
Anxiety is one of the classic signs of vitamin A poisoning.
Alright bro, have fun with your permanently damaged liver
That was the first time you got a significant amount of retinol in your life
I occasionally eat chicken livers. Is there a particular advantage to eating beef liver over chicken livers?
beef liver has more vitamins
>USDA database
>30 year old data
What the frick?
Do you think the chemical composition of chicken and cow livers is changing every couple decades or something?
Reconsider what you just said
Thank you.
I like to bread em and deep fry em.
Not very often tho, like once or twice a year
Try eating Beef Liver Tartare, on rice that has raw eggs mixed in like the Japanese breakfast meal. Excellent nutrient gains.
I can only get liver frozen near me.
There is a more boutique butchers but they charge up the ass and I don't know if they sell liver, great steaks tho.
Get the stuff from the butcher, both steaks and organs, then mince and eat raw.
chicken livers are so good, there used to be onre or two in my moms caldo
there are studies of successful skin benefits from taking vitamin a supplements upwards of 300,000 IU before it becomes a health problem
and the fear of vitamin a toxicity comes from a study of someone eating large amounts of bear liver
It was Polar Bear liver that had extreme levels of cadmium in it, which resulted in heavy metal poisoning. Vitamin A toxicity is a lie. Same goes for Vitamin D.
How do you cook this in a way that doesn't taste like pure ass?
some say that soaking in milk helps. the truth is you will get used to the taste after a couple of times
you just don't cook it at all. The bad taste of liver only comes from the cooking process.
Once I tried it raw I can't go back. It has twice the Vitamin A too, so even more than normal liver.
you were probably low in iron or zinc.
this
I would bet on iron, you were probably a little bit anemic
I like fried chicken livers.
keep in mind vitamin A is fat soluble, so if you're getting too much it will build up. I think water soluble vitamins u just piss out
You motherfrickers don't get it. It's not consuming something specific which will make those symptoms disappear, it's refraining from consuming certain foods that will. You need to remove the poison, not take more of a proclaimed "antidote".
Spunds like a vitamin deficiency. Most foods are devoid of any significant nutritional value and have been for 50 years, thanks to factory farming.
Anyone who says "eat more veggies" doesn't know that veggies are mostly fiber and water these days. The soil they grow in has nothing but Fast-Gro goy poison.
>Stop eating red meat

>those cheapass hotdogs
>Stop breathing air
>Stop feeling tired all the time (I don't feel anymore)
>Skin clears up (literally, have none left)
Interesting
All these zoomers going from eating chips and soda for every meal to eating liver or a green smoothie and acting like it's magic.
It's called eating real food you fricks.
never had liver. What does it taste like?
I love it, but it's kinda divisive and I get why, it taste can get pretty strong and it has a weird smell
My advice is to cook it with lots of garlic, brown some chopped vegetables with dry white wine, butter and rosemary; it's a godsend
Like iron and chalk
like sweet chocolate
It's like chewing on a blood clot.
It's exclusively a meme
And don't come at me with that OH BRO JUST GET GRASS FED AND DO THIS 45 STEP MILK SOAK TO MAKE IT BRO ITS GOOD
I tried every cooking method, and even tried it with a deer I killed myself.
It's garbage and there's a reason we feed it to dog
its supposed to be raw, and chewing is not needed just swallow
Tried beef and deer raw
Utter trash man.
Raw liver is delicious (and the only way to eat liver; cooked liver is the most putrid, disgusting thing on the planet). If the liver you tried was bad there are a few possible explanations:
1. It came from a sick animal and thus tasted like shit. Very possible. Getting grass-fed locally raised (or wild-caught) absolutely does make a difference, your whinging aside.
2. You're one of the lucky few who doesn't need the nutrients from liver, thus it doesn't taste good to you. Congratulations. Taste is a signal from your body that whatever you're eating contains nutrients it's craving. Liver tastes amazing to me when I first ate it, but then became less and less appealing to my body over time. This is because I was deficient in certain nutrients in the liver, but then my body built up its stores of those nutrients, so now I only need to eat it periodically.
3. You're convincing yourself subconsciously that it's going to be gross before you even put it in your mouth. Your subjective experience is influenced by your beliefs. Look up all the health benefits and nutrient composition of liver, and it'll taste better to you because you'll know you're eating something healthy. The mind is extremely powerful.
Nah, I was full hype train for raw liver at the time, and had Access to cows liver from my cousin's farm, and a national forest caught deer.
It's bad, and the meme is stale at this point.
I really don't get what raw liver has in it you can't get from dark greens, berries, eggs, or some other less nutty way
>I really don't get what raw liver has in it you can't get from dark greens, berries, eggs, or some other less nutty way
https://foodstruct.com/food/beef-liver
Bioavailable b vitamins and minerals in quantities you aren't going to get from any plants, lots of vitamin a (again, not found in plants), a ton of copper (which most people aren't getting enough of to balance out zinc), k2 (also only found in animal products), choline, etc.
https://foodstruct.com/food/egg
You'll get some of those nutrients in eggs, but you'd have to eat a lot of eggs to match them, and liver still wins out in k2 and certain b vitamins, and who knows what else. Nutritional scinece is by no means comprehensive - we're always discovering new nutrients the body needs. Who knows what will be discovered tomorrow?
Liver is not a meme, it's a nutritional powerhouse.
Surplus vitamins doesn't equal surplus health. This is only relevant if you are nutrient deficient
Not how nutrients work at all. "Deficiency" is a ~~*medically*~~ defined term that is usually a severe, chronic deficiency, and is not the same as insufficiency, nor is it a binary with optimal nutrient levels. And most people are deficient (by the actual, non-medical definition) in a bunch of nutrients but aren't aware of it because they either haven't been tested or their moronic doctor told them 25 nmol/L is enough vitamin D. But keep putting up imaginary roadblocks to eating liver. It's cheap and it's nutrient-packed. There are literally no downsides to consuming liver from a healthy animal.
>Not how nutrients work at all.
It is,
>A is actually A and not B
Didn't read further.
>wild raw liver
kek
bro it tastes great when cooked like a steak
get a grip
It literally doesn't, but go off
Liver is delicious? What are you morons talking about?
You're literally lying for no reason.
I had 0 changes after incorporating liver. and 0 changes when I removed it over a month later.
thanks for the real take
I can't even find beef liver here. Grocery store doesn't have it, Costco doesn't have it, local fricking butcher doesn't have it.
>local fricking butcher doesn't have it.
The lie detector determined: That was a lie
Are you moronic? Why would I lie about not being able to find beef liver here? What would be the purpose of lying about my experience trying to buy something useful to me? Are you a vegan activist trying to downplay the difficulties of normal people finding good meat or something?
>Haven't gone to the butcher
>Claims has gone to the butcher
>Random Anon calls you out on not /actually/ having gone to the butcher
I feel like you're making this conspiracy like 17+ steps, it's really just 2 steps.
>accusing someone of lying about something so simple
You people are paranoid moronic. My local butcher does not have beef liver. You can go ahead and ask him. Tony's Prime Cuts, Maugerville NB, Canada. Go ahead. Vegan morons.
nypa, you weirdo larper.
I accept your concession on this absolutely absurd thing for you to try to argue.
deranged vegans are not meant to be understood
>samegayging this hard
imagine
You've just never gone to a butcher, dude.
most of my stores don't have it but I was able to find frozen liver at Ralph's
Winco carries it
Calf liver too
liver tastes like shit though
>eat beef liver
>have insane anxiety for 3 days, my heart is literally pounding 120 bpm and I'm hyperventilating
Liver is great, has lots of nutrients
If you want to cover up the texture/taste of liver just make a japanese gyudon style rice bowl and use liver.
I love it, here in Mexico City u got to the Aurrera market and is $25 pesos ($1.50 usd) for 500g of liver. I eat it with avocado, lemon, green sauce and tortillas, Is so good, I noticed better results when I started eating it more often
Good. Next step is introducing raw beef meat anon
its not safe to eat raw liver
You overdose on Vitamin A if nothing else if you eat too much liver but gladly you will feel like shit immediately which keeps you from eating so much.
>eats vitamin a for the first time
well, op
i just drink a glass of carrot juice and have perfect skin too
>retinol
>carrots
I like kidneys with vinegar, they are very good, but the truth is I don't know how healthy they are.
is it hard to make pate? i'm about to order it at work for dinner
1. Cook liver
2. Choose seasonings
3. Stick it all in a food processor
it seems to be the only way i eat it
imma try next time I go to costco
