> starting to see a little bit of muscle finally
> realize I bulked too hard and let myself get fat
What the frick do I do brehs. If I cut I’ll literally look even more DYEL, but I can’t afford to get any fatter either. Is recomp a meme or does it actually work

>omg I'm 23 and I've done nothing with my life it's over
>omg I don't have visible abs and I gained some muscle I'm obese.
>can’t afford to get any fatter either
Lol wut? I started off at your size and I'm up 20 lbs.
I’m 6’1 and 205, if I gained 20 pounds I would look like absolute shit
I'm the same height and weight but I've been lifting for 4 months. Still planning to bulk until January.
How strong are you. I would keep bulking my strength levels aren’t very good. I can just barely bench 215.
the whole point of bulking is to increase your strength ya dip
>How strong are you
Hit a 5x5 bench at 185 this past Monday. Next week I'm going for 195.
Nice, you’re a bit stronger than me then, I just hit 165 for 4x8 but I got back in the gym after a while away so hopefully it doesn’t take me too long to get back to where I was
>Nice, you’re a bit stronger than me
I might not be, my legs are laughably weak and my squat is always tied with my bench. I also deadlift but I don't care to put any real effort into it so I'm just doing 245 for 5 reps once a week currently. I have typical bro tendencies and I only enjoy working my chest, arms, and shoulders, but despite that I try my best to remain well rounded with my workouts.
no its not a meme. is it slow? yes. its also slow to bulk AND then cut. a lot of people think bulking is faster because muhh i gain muscle but they forgot to add up the fact that now they spend 4-6 months cutting making virtually zero gains so in the end its just about as fast as recomping.
i recomped to lift 1/2/3/4 for 6-8 reps from not being able to do them even once. body composition changed drastically. from 86kg to 74kg. i basically just ate at maintenance, focus on getting protein and vitamins. if i thought i was getting fat, i did cardio or ate less, if i didnt progress for a while, i ate more.
If you don’t eat at a caloric surplus you can’t gain muscle it’s really that simple
I agree for people who only care about ottermoder, which is the vast majority of people.
However for the small amount of people that want to be big; you have to bulk.
your bf seems normal, I'd just keep lifting and make sure I don't go overboard with calories. don't listen to the neurotic bodybuilding twinks that think anything over 15% is obesity
>bulked too hard
>skelly build
lmao are oyu the shoulder guy? I can recognize that line under your stomach
Huge if true, kinda looks like his pissique. It would make me very happy to see shoulderanon make it tbqh.
The broken shoulder guy? With the scar? You remember me? Or I am moronic. Either way, my progress is goin way better than OP’s. Try harder OP
nah the
>point of no return, they often look disappointed
shoulder guy
Haha no not me although I do look a lot better in clothes than in the nude although it’s not as extreme as that dude
Never had a girl complain though and have gotten complements in my arms before despite not even having big ones
I dont believe you. Someone post that shoulder pic and overlay the bodies.
You ate a little too much for a little too long and now you're fluffy, it is what it is. If the goal is to get bigger don't bother with cutting. Building muscle takes time anon, just eat roughly maintenance tdee and keep lifting... this shit isn't rocket science.
>not being shredded with perfect lighting under 10% bodyfat with visible muscle striations is fat
I hate this generation.
did you post the thread about women liking arm muscles or whatever
Bulk slower. You're not that fat. Maybe like 19-20% bodyfat. Start the cut in later winter/early spring so you can have a great beach body by the time summer rolls around. Bodyfat can come off really fast. Muscle building takes a while. Eat like 100-200kcal above maintainence. It's all you need and you'll only gain like 1.5 pounds per month. Godspeed newfren. Also I saw some talk ITT like you're doing a powerlifting program when your goal is to build muscle. Routine?
