      It's the volume vs intensity thing, you don't see oly lifters squatting 12 reps for 4-5 sets 3 days a week, they go in and do heavy 2-3 reps, maybe singles, the focus is on intensity and how fast you can move the weight, not just pumping out reps

            Having a program is fine, and if you do become a bodybuilder listen to really standard advice / programs. I do weighted calisthenics, kettlebell, running, boxing, rope climbs and some bodybuilding isolating movements now and I have been trimming down / getting more athletic than my powershitting days.

            You can leave a few things from AthleanX but a majority of his videos are about avoiding really effective lifts and sticking to cable machines because of injuries.

            Endless studies with 10 x participants with no lifting experience / needing to make content to make a living. You need a routine / good technique / a way to progressive overload but a lot of these fitness videos are really overthinking lifting.
