Try asking again tomorrow but phrase your question like "Stretching is for gayS, ishyggdt, stretching is the number 1 indicator of being a pussy" etc etc. And wait for the autists to chime in and "correct" you with all the facts about stretching. Stretching induces tension on the muscle. So a feeling of tightness is more a lack of strength. If you feel tightness it means the muscle/tendon is lacking strength to resist the tension.
there's no real scientific proof it does anything except for stretching for too long reduces performance. I feels good tho and all great athletes stretch so there must be something to it. Stretching gave me more lat mobility because I frick with oly a little. Try it and see if you get anything from it.
