provide citation that tattoo ink causes any singular disease. we already know that cheap tattoo ink with specific metals can because those metals are known to be toxic.
So what about the tattoo ink that doesn't have those metals.
        please provide citation.

Yeah cheap Chinese ink with heavy metals. Most modern countries use American and Japanese ink which is just water and pigments. Just because there is a bunch of Chinese shit on the market doesn't make good quality ink inherently dangerous.

A lot have been banned, but afaik those were only the colorful inks. The black ink in europe is and has always been fine. BUT the colored inks that have been banned werent proven to be harmful it was just less sure that they werent

Do you have a source on that?
          Source?
          A source. I need a source.
Sorry, I mean I need a source that explicitly states your argument. This is just tangential to the discussion.
No, you can't make inferences and observations from the sources you've gathered. Any additional comments from you MUST be a subset of the information from the sources you've gathered.
You can't make normative statements from empirical evidence.
Do you have a degree in that field?
A college degree? In that field?
          Then your arguments are invalid.
No, it doesn't matter how close those data points are correlated. Correlation does not equal causation.
          Correlation does not equal causation.
          CORRELATION. DOES. NOT. EQUAL. CAUSATION.

For sure. I never said ink is fine, hell I'm not tattooed and don't ever want to be. I'm just saying that the dude was factually right about plastic being in our blood now. Doesn't justify a laisser faire attitude toward tattoos though.

I lift because it's fun and I'm trans-swole. I was fat as a teenager and at the age of 15 I noticed I never felt good in my body and that being a fat-frick sucked. So I started watching what I ate, did push-ups in my room and ran a lot. With the years I learned about weight lifting and the rest is history.

It's fun to feel good in your body.

                >So are you ripped right now?
Nope. I do calisthenics at home and bike/run just to maintain health. Nothing crazy, just so what little muscle I have doesn't cannibalize itself. I used to lift for strength (I pr'd April 2021 at 585 lbs deadlift and 435 lbs squat) but since then I did a couple of courses with the army which showed me the real redpill is overall fitness and not lugging around two massive ham legs that gas you out because they need oxygen. Also haven't had the time, had my first born early this year. Priorities change.

                Tattoos don't.

Looking great bro. And holy moly you also have the same thinking like me. Nice to know there is bro with the same idea. Congratz for the baby bro.

Only depends on the materials used.
There were a bunch of tattoos bank in the 40s/70s(?) that had lead in them.
Now the concentration and how much surface area of tattoos you have might increase a risk in the less damaging materials. Fair argument there, but most of the materials used now days aren't linked to any diseases and are found regularly in just about everything from clothing to food.
To clarify, they are harmless enough that they don't seem to cause additional illness at a rate higher than the non-tattooed counterparts.

There is also next to no established control as most the older generations who have tattoos were chronic smokers/drinkers/drug users and usually just die from other issues.

The hipsters of the 90s/2000s are probably a better indicator as they are getting tattoos while being "straightedge" or whatever.

yes I'm surprised when I ask tattooed people if they know how a tattoo works, absolutely not a single one knew.

The macrophages present in the skin phagocytose the ink, thereby making it somewhat innate, however by doing this they are somewhat incapacitated and remain in the skin just sitting there with the ink inside of them. However over time some of the macrophages transport their contents to the lymph glands, spleen etc where it then accumulates again and also some macrophages die every day, releasing the ink which is then picked up by adjacent macrophages.

Tattoo ink is poisonous but most of it is stuck inside of the macrophages in the skin, where it is slowly released and poisons the body over time, much like mercury amalgam fillings.

Also the ink is literally made of heavy metals, there is little regulation, and few studies on the health implications

      >Metal salts used for tattoo inks include those based on nickel (black), zinc (yellow, white), chromium (green), aluminium (green, violet), titanium (white), copper (blue, green), and iron (brown, red, black) as well as the toxic heavy metals cobalt (blue), mercury (red), lead (yellow, green, white), cadmium (red, orange, yellow), and barium (white). Organic chemicals used include azo-chemicals (orange, brown, yellow, green, violet) and naptha-derived chemicals (red). Carbon is also used for black.[5] Other elements used as pigments include antimony, arsenic, beryllium, calcium, lithium, selenium, and sulphur

I am not making the point that natural = good. I am making the point that the worst data point cherry picked doesn't make a good argument instead it is deceptive and libtard tactics. The other guys point about the compounds degradation is a better point if true. e.g., greentext stories.

homosexual, I'm not arguing for either side here, I'm just pointing out the fact that tattoo-havers always seem to argue "OTHER STUFF BAD TOO", AND LOOK, you even do it yourself lmfao
        >"specific chemicals can be poisonous, but dude that is legit anything in the world at this point argument and it's cope. flat out."
It's fricking amazing, and then you start talking about safe inks, which is fine, if there exists safe inks, I hope everyone gets those instead. Not that I really give a shit, I'm just here to poke fun at people with shit arguments, like half of your post.

Idk I don't think there is anything wrong with people expressing their hatred for a certain fashion. I don't mind people sharing their opinion on something or even reee'ing about it. I read moronic opinions like 100 times a day. What I DO hate is this shit sensitive passive aggressive people do where they start saying shit like
      >listen to my cope justifications
      >now mind your own business
      >don't worry about what other people do
      >why do you care about my body
It is a thread about tattoos you fricking moron and people have a negative opinion of them kek why does that bother you so much? Why do you care what they think?

        >if you speak your mind and I disagree with that opinion then you should be doing something better with your time.

Shouldn't you be doing something else with your time besides defending your moronic fashions to a bunch of anonymous people on an underwater fly fishing forum? Kek hy do you care care much what their opinion is? it's funny that if someone agrees with you you wouldn't accuse them of having something better to do- you only say that if they disagree with you?

        >oh no, they have tattoos and my feelings are hurt
you anti tattoo fat lardos are insufferable
im gonna keep eating 3 lbs of meat daily and getting tats

      >why do non tattoo bros get so upset at tattoo bros
because they have nothing else to do duh.
if they were lifting they wouldn't be here.
if they had a hobby they wouldn't be here.
if they had anything they wouldn't be here.

huge difference between posting in some threads and obsessing about shit that doesn't even concern you.
most people on IST are the obsessive kind, can't not post.

tbf you probably get more harm from the poisonous shit you breathe in a day than from a small tattoo slowly releasing some ink over the years. I'm not tattooed and I don't plan to get one anytime soon, but there's no need to be so moronicly paranoid

I don't think it is that outrageous to be paranoid about placing permanent pigmentation in/on your skin. I mean yeah some people are melodramatic but it is not a schizo thing to be averse to. Pretty understandable actually considering the type of other shit people get concerned about on this board in particular it seems pretty reasonable actually.

aesthetically? sure. Health-wise? meh, there's a ton of shit that nobody cares about that should have a higher priority in our worries (unless you plan to cover a significant portion of your skin)

How do you know the people who are concerned about the skin pungent aren't ALSO concerned about the other things you are talking about?

NTA but a lot of people wear tattoos for personal reasons or to mark something important.
You wouldn't understand because you are a vapid b***h.

        Anonymous

I havent posted in this thread yet, and I can assure you I am not a vapid b***h.
I do however, scoff at people who tattoo themselves in honor of their grandpa, who died peacefully of OLD AGE.
The way I see it, tattoos should be given, not taken. As in given to you by your brothers, be it at sea, in arms, or in a gang. Or else you end up with the truly "vapid b***hes" who feel every event is an excuse to aquire yet another minimalist styled feather, or a poem, or something gay like that.

I agree and really regret getting one when I was a teenager. I wish I could remove it, but it's just not worth the money or effort at this age. Thankfully it's always covered.
