I ended up getting some trace minerals which fixed the problem.
Depends on your tap water, you can take a sample, go to a lab and scan it for drinkability, and from that know which filter to use

I distill my water, then filter it through white pine activated charcoal Made with HCl produced via molten salt electrolysis to keep everything as natural as possible.

I just try to minimize my water intake and hydrate with fruits, veggies, milk, and diet coke. Plus there's a spring nearby I often go to get clean water.

Every pur/brita/whatever filter is just getting heavy metals and particles out. Basically does nothing and doesn't get fluoride (makin' the frogs gay). You want reverse osmosis and the re-mineralize
filters are a scam. as long as you live in a home built or renovated after the lead ban of 1986 there is nothing to wrong with drinking tap water.

all at such low levels that they’re hardly even noticeable. fluoride for example has a mcl of 0.7 to 1.2mg/l and that is at the treatment plant by time you take a sample in the distribution system it’s usually down below 0.6mg/l.
I do agree that fluoride is pointless though and thankfully my state is proposing a bill to no longer require it. As for birth control and other things, those levels depend on where your raw water comes from but from what experience I have in wastewater treatment, the water leaving a wastewater plant is just as safe to drink as tap water. Microplastics however are everywhere and we’re fricked. There is basically nothing you ingest that doesn’t contain microplastics
