I used to live in Japan and workout at the Gold's Gym in Harajuku. Despite it being a 24 hour high-profile location, I NEVER saw people bench press more than 1 plate.
I moved back to Canada and at the local rich person gym, I noticed about a half dozen 2 plate benchers.
Because they aren't. It's just more bullshit passportless wonders regurgitate without ever actually checking >In Japan, steroids are classified as Schedule II drugs under the Narcotics Control Act, meaning they are strictly controlled substances. The possession, sale, and distribution of anabolic steroids without a valid prescription are illegal. I went to a local gym in a small town for about a year that had no website, did everything by paper, just a phone number. All the equipment was old, having evidently been piled up by donation over decades, including an original nautilus pullover that looked like a torture rack. They had some fitness magazines on a shelf. I flipped through them and the newest one was from the last time Ronnie won the Olympia. They had a separate basement for deadlifting, and at the gym was often deserted, with the most people I ever saw total being around 8.
There was a guy there who could bench 4.5pl8 raw, and who could bench like 25 reps of 2pl8. He was also at least 6’4”. I saw him bench over 4pl8 raw and over 20 reps with 2pl8.

>diddly 190kg >ohp only 40
literally how, I could ohp 1pl8 on my first day
I think people avoid doing it because it’s embarrassing to start weak at it, and so they remain weak at it.

It legit depends on where you are working out.
How much do they typically weigh?
If you aren't impressed by someone benching 135lbs and weighing 1pl8, why would someone 225lbs or heavier be impressive benching 2pl8s?
>posting mocking photos of the people you share a gym with
Cringe
This is like the incel version of that video of the influencers laughing at the guy doing stretches and copying him mockingly
>170kg squat >40kg OHP >max 10 chinups
???? SS victim that only trains legs?
my max squat is 60kg and my max OHP is 40kg and i can do 8 chinups with +5kg
i'm 65kg 175cm
that's front squat btw
i could probably do more but my priority is being healthy and athletic to score girls and enjoy sex and those numbers are more than enough
i don't want to ACK myself chasing numbers for homos
i wanna be the guy c
His deadlift is decent.
You are not that guy c
I guess that's just how most small local gyms are. To this day, I've only seen like 3 dudes bench 2pl8s for reps at my gym.
I workout at a planet fitness in a small town and multiple roided dudes 4pl8 on the Smith machine
roided numbers are difficult to be impressed by especially when 95% of them are on moron doses
